Botched pose or not that still looks amazing - fantastic weathering and in replicating ”your Trooper”:salute:

Think you are correct about darker lens though

Thanks!  My five year old son told me the weathering looked fake.  I told him it was paint.  He asked why I ruined my armour.  :glare:

Love it :laugh1:

Also if you're shooting for SWAT don't forget the "T" track wiring on the blaster.

Yeah, kids. Lol. I was just doing up a to-do list and was writing “wire for DLT-19” when your post came through.

Weathering the pouches and pauldron and boots.

So I got a jump on the weekend - I took Friday off and spent quality time with my family - and by quality time I mean I snuck away every chance I had to work on my armour.   I also installed a darker lens in the bucket, trimmed the ears a bit more (they can use even more to be screen accurate - yeesh), and installed the S-trim.  Once again I made the opening of the helmet too small - my head fits, but barely.  No head mounted microphone for me again.  All that is left for the helmet is to install a bunch of Velcro and then add fans.

I also heard from CrookKnight and my pack is ready for shipping.  Woo hoo!  :dancing-trooper:

All that is left is some sewing - still haven't convinced the wife to get that done for me.  :icon_beg:  Oh, and I still need to add the t-track wires to my DLT-19 and build my T-21.  But since it is 37°C (~99°F) here, I am relaxing with a very cold beer.

I'll post some pics shortly.  After a few sips of my very cold beer.  :pint1:

Compare pics after and before distressing the MP40 pouches. I used 220 and 600 grit sandpaper and a wire brush.

I roughed up the pauldron but the effect does not really show very well in photos, so I won’t show that.

DLT-19 upgrade. Since I want to also have the option of trooping as the cantina captain, I need a dirty DLT-19. I added some wire to the t tracks and added a bit of weathering.

Used dremel to make some notches in t-tracks.

Installed wire. I used 19 gauge black wire. Might be a little thin but it is what I had on hand.

Light wash of light brown paint. It does not show up very well in photos.

A few mor things done. Finished off the helmet interior and some final sewing.

Thigh garter done.

Shoulder straps. Elastic.

I had my wife sew up these little white nylon tabs with a loop. I added Velcro to the backs of these and to the inside of my belt. Wired the nylon tabs to the small Spanish pouches.

For the helmet I lined most of the interior with Velcro and added fans. The fans are Henry’s fans from Trooperbay.

I didn’t bother with the switches and I don’t need the extra long wire.

I added some weather stripping to help dampen sound (they kind of rest on the hovi mic bumps).

So, still waiting for my pack and I have a couple of other little things I’m waiting for. I also have to finish that T-21.

But I went ahead and submitted pics for basic approval. Here are some pics. I have a few dressing issues and perhaps some strap fine tuning that I will revisit for upper level pics (arms keep riding up for one and my one pouch slide around), but I’m pretty happy with it.

Let me know if I missed something.
