benkenobi5[TK]
so, I'm working on my first build, with an AM set. I'm currently working on the greaves, but I'm a tad confused by the requirements, which state that AM greaves shall be on the proper legs, with a new cover strip... what on earth does it mean by a new cover strip? I've done some searches, and I can't find anything about it.
Novak Dimon[TK]
Hi Benjamin, it means that the contours of the shins ist wrong way. You have to swap them to get the right shape. But then the shins open to the outer side but they are supposed to open at the inside. Here is the tutorial you are looking for: Cheers Christian Edited January 6, 2018 by Novak Dimon
magni[TK]
I'm not sure about the coverstrip part but with the old AM 1.0 kits people were putting the wrong halves together. Meaning two outers together and inners together. I thought it was made easier with new kits. That line from CRL is again for the older kits. Frank75139[501st]
Just did my 2.0 kit and they only fit one way for me. Shins were made differently this set to correct that issue. When I found the ones that match “bump in back and to the outside of the leg” I was able to put them on and tell which shin went with which leg. I then trimmed them down and added a new cover strip to the back. I’m pretty sure it was a major confusion point for the 1.0 kits but fixed now.
