The ab is shifting down from your kidney, and ideally, those should line up at the top like in the photo below: Do you have a tab system installed in the ab/kidney? If not, it's a wonderful way to keep the kidney and ab lined up. Here is a pic of a tab I installed in a kit I built for a garrison friend. It's a thin sheet of black styrene glued to the kidney with e6000. Attached to the ab are two 1" squares of scrap ABS, with a rectangle piece of ABS attached on top of them. This makes a tab slot. StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted August 26, 2018 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2018 Finally got around to tightening the right ab strap. I merely added more glue to the strap taking out the slack in it. Added some additional E6000 behind the drop box to keep it in place as well as more on the elastic behind the belt. Clamped and drying. I started with a twin size mattress pad/cover and cut all the elastic from it that keeps it on the mattress I than draped the mattress pad like a "U" covering the back, bottom and front of the tote and cut to size. Next I stitched the sides that I cut so that the pad would stay together and not unravel Next I laid the pad over the fabric I choose, folded the fabric over the pad and pinned in place I did this on all four sides With it pinned I was ready to sew! Put the good side up and begin to stitch my fabric to the pad When I got to a corner I simply made sure the needle was down, raised the foot, turned the fabric and put the foot back down and the final result I repeated for the cutting and sewing for the sides. The sides just hand down and are not attached to the other fabric part. Once I had everything sewed I clamped the pieces to the top of the bin to determine where to put my pop snaps at I did four snaps on the back and front and two on each side. I super glued the male snaps directly to the tote, and lined up where I need to put the holes in the fabric. You can test by laying some scrap ABS on it for a day or so. I have been shocked at what some fabrics can do to armor. A few minor suggestions to really make my kit look better which was to give the hovi mic tip lines a bit more extension. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oh my quite a bit actually....Been assisting a few cadets in my local garrison on getting there costumes together and up to EIB/Centurion. Helping one get a shadow trooper assembled. Than working on my next costume I want to do as well. Other than that working on some prop projects that I hope to role out to everyone in the coming months, and building a new house. Plus my day job which I've taken on new responsibilities and have been traveling a lot lately. Too bad my Husky tote won't fit as a carry on, other wise I'd bring it with me and troop the country. I’m finishing my lenses. Then I need to work on improving my thighs, then my shoulder bridges. I finally finished my Husky and I am 95% satisfied with the outcome.
