The second I found out they had baby chicks to hold I had to go hold one.

73. Fresno Grizzlies Star Wars Night Promo Filming, Fresno - 5/3

In the middle.

It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but we're all wearing brown bandolierr ribbons in honor of Peter Mayhew.  My heart may belong to the Dark Side and the Empire, but my favorite Star Wars character has always been, and will always be, Chewbacca.

74. Spring Carnival, Laton - 5/3

While I track down our group shot, enjoy this video of me popping almost every snap I have while having fun with a pinata.  The kids got tired of whacking at it and just wanted the candy, so they enlisted us.  (I managed several much harder whacks after the camera stopped rolling).

76. Valley Animal Center Super Adoption, Fresno - 5/4

Holding the black kitten on the right.  My goal at this troop was to hold animals.  I accomplished it.  I started holding the little white one (it had a gray tail), but it blended in too well with my armor so I passed her off to our Officer and took the black one (long haired and beautiful markings around her eyes!) instead.

And a group shot because we had such a fine group of TKs out!

We had a great group because we're all animal lovers.  I adopted my cat (Falcon) from this shelter, too.

79. "Weird Al" Yankovic - Strings Attached Tour, Sacramento - 8/11

LIFE GOAL ACHIEVED!  I've loved Weird Al since I was a kid and my dad introduced me to his Dr. Demento's 20th Anniversary collection, which featured "Eat It."

Many years later, my dad and went to a Weird Al concert and we saw 501st members on stage during The Saga Begins.  I didn't know what the Legion was then, but knew the costumes were legit and it was a great addition.  Many more years later, I joined the South Valley Squad and found out I was now friends with all those people I had seen on stage.

85. 100th Annual Veterans Day Parade, Fresno - 11/11

Yes, you read that right- 100th Annual.  It's the largest and longest running Veterans parade in the nation.  It was our first year attending (though I marched in it a million years ago as a Girl Scout), and we will definitely be making this an annual event.

We had two Garrisons represented, Central California and Golden Gate, Mando Mercs' Wolves of Mandalore Clan, and Rebel Legion's Endor Base, with members from the most Northern reaches of CCG territory (Reno), to the most Southern reaches (Visalia) in attendance.  It was a ton of work to organize and myself and the Wolves event coordinator couldn't have done it without the support of our respective clubs and the participation of everyone who came out, whether it be a five hour drive or a fifteen minute drive.  Also, pre-party dinner on Sunday night for our early arrivals and a late lunch after the parade were a blast!  One of our drivers and five of our troopers were Vets, themselves!  The two non-costumed guys holding the lightsabers in front are our sponsored veterans who we asked to join us in honoring all Veterans this Veteran's Day.

Bonus Ladies of the Legions (501st, Mandos and Rebels represented!  Most of us are also members of multiple clubs, too!)

87. Zoo Lights @ The Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Fresno - 11/30

49149896318_7ac9e234b1_o.jpg

It looks like a hyperspace tunnel!

We also couldn't resist- we had to get our picture taken with Santa.  Santa thought we were great- he really loved my antlers.

When your Ladies of the Legions shot IS your group shot!  (Since it was a marathon, Friday at 6 am until Sunday at 9 pm, we had shifts- this was just our shift.  We had another guy come out for the afternoon that day).

Tracking down a photo.  Coming soon.  Every day was a four costume day and only one of said costumes had pockets for a phone to take my own photos, lol.
