zemzero
Since I'm still waiting to hear back from my garrison to be approved for 501st status, I figured I'd show what I have and see what I might need to fix for EIB and Centurion. humperdingle
Looks great to me Only thing I can see is that the knee ammo pack seems to have slipped down a little? Edited January 30, 2017 by humperdingle
justjoseph63[Staff]
Looking good, Braff, and great job on that AM kit! You might want to trim down all of the cover strips to where they are flush with the edges of your armor, especially the tops of the thighs (front and back) and the wrists of the forearms. SUPER nice job on the ab/kidney connections and rivet alignment!!
Cricket[TK]
Looking great! The only things that stood out to me- and these aren't EIB or Centurion requirements- are the lengths of the cover strips. You may want to trim them up for your own comfort. And I saw that ammo pack slip, but it's only in that one pic. Dab o' E6000, and you'll be good on that.
zemzero
Very cool, thanks guys. The knee pack slips all the time, I was thinking of using a magnet or velcro to hold it up but I guess E6000 is the simpler fix, lol. I'll shave down the cover strips too, shouldn't be a big deal to do.
justjoseph63[Staff]
Easy fixes all, Braff. Great to hear that you are on your way to Centurion!!
Alay[TK]
Cover strips on the wrist need to be cut down to be in line with the edge of the wrists. Your butt plate is also jumping over the kidney piece a bit, might want to work out a tab or something to catch it or add more strapping so it stays put. Great looking overall! TKZombie[TK]
The blue strips on the helmet are too far off they are suppose to be only a pencil width thickness from the helmet. Right side kidney plate is overlapping the ab plate they should be flush against each other. Right thigh ammo knee pack should be up and over the edge not hanging down like it is. Cover strips trim the exposed edges overhanging the edges for comfort.
68Brick[TK]
Looks good. The advice provided by others is spot on. Also, you might want to restrain the outer edges of your butt plate. Add some extra snaps or Velcro and it will keep it from popping out like it does at the sides.
