Making Anovos meet EIB

Recommended Posts

Great to hear that you are aiming for EIB (and hopefully Centurion) with your build, Evan!   I would advise checking out Tony's (ukswrath) Anovos build thread, which will give you all the step by step info. you need to take your build to level 3.  You can find that here:  http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/

I was reading over the requirements but had a few questions that came to mind, are the latex handguards required for EIB? and the mic tips need to possibly be replaced? The screws for the TD I'm thinking might need to be replaced , thought maybe the ones provided aren't correct. Anyone that has made there Anovos kit meet EIB?

The latex hand guards are not a necessity for EIB, Evan, but are required for level 3, (Centurion), which I hope you are aiming for.  The screws for the TD that Anovos includes are not canon, but can (and should) be replaced with flat-head pan type screws, painted black.  The hovi mic tips can be painted white on the inside and front, but the screen should be replaced for level 3.  A look at some of the Anovos Centurion submission threads should help you out:  http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/

^^What jj63 said!   Only one clarification...  The TD screws should be pan-head screws that are standard (straight slot), not Phillips (x tip), not flat-head screws.

This spec is not clearly noted on the CLR, but will be requested to be included for higher level certifications to be screen accurate

Can someone clarify the CRL language?

Some pieces (shoulder, neck seal) do not have any reference to EIB or Centurion.

others (forearms, hand plates) list:

For level 2 certification (if applicable):

For level 3 certification (if applicable):

- additional requirement for certification...

When it calls out level 2 and 3, but there is no additional requirement listed under level 2, does that mean 2 and 3 have the SAME requirement or that there is NO additional level 2 requirement?

If no additional, adding a line saying 'n/a' in blue would help to clarify.

Personal preference, but I like the return edge on the forearm to add the 3D effect, and plastic hand guards to match the rest of the armor. Latex always seems off-color.
