If you mean the bottoms, I wouldn't, Nathan.  There is supposed to be as much of a return edge on the bottom as possible.  Is it binding or too tight on the bicep?  You may need to widen the bell a bit if so.  This can be (VERY carefully) done with either a heat gun or a boiling water bath.  If you haven't done so already, I would recommend getting in touch with the New Zealand Garrison http://nz501st.com/forum/PortalStandalone.php to see if there are any members locally who are familiar with these methods and help you out in person.

I would do what Joe has recommended. Remember it is all about how it fits you. The shoulder bell seems fine, but we would know more if we saw you wearing this, and make any changes (if any) needed.
