There is supposed to be as much of a return edge on the bottom as possible. Is it binding or too tight on the bicep? You may need to widen the bell a bit if so. This can be (VERY carefully) done with either a heat gun or a boiling water bath. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend getting in touch with the New Zealand Garrison http://nz501st.com/forum/PortalStandalone.php to see if there are any members locally who are familiar with these methods and help you out in person. For reference, my bells measure 31cm up the ridge from the bottom to the top and 28cm measured on the lower edge that overlaps the biceps.
