T K[501st]
This got shared among the TKs in my garrison. Take a look at this offer from sideshow. You can get a life-sized stormtrooper figure for only $8,000!! http://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/star-wars-stormtrooper-sideshow-collectibles-400077/ Just look how this guy is totally accurate. Edit: Granted it does say, "The latest edition to our Life-size statue line, the Stormtrooper is an idealized version of the iconic characters and armor [emphasis added]." Locitus[Admin]
At least it's both cheaper and more accurate than the Don Post statue that was offered back in the day. http://www.propstore.com/product/star-wars-ep-iv-a-new-hope/full-size-don-post-stormtrooper-replica-statue/ http://www.cineshop-museum.com/star-wars-stormtrooper-life-size-statue-don-post,us,4,ODCSWSTORMT.cfm This one asks for almost €12 000!

fuumantroop[TK]
this did make me laugh out loud. Imagine how many types of armors I could have displayed for that price? And each one would get a poseable mannequin! I cannot believe they were serious about this one.
Pretzel[TK]
For a mere $6,000 I will stand in your home for a month. But, occasionally move! Call now! Edited November 7, 2016 by Pretzel
Addertime[TK]
But... but... I have a life-sized Stormtrooper in my house... ME!
humperdingle
You could buy a Darth Vader costume flanked by two TKs, complete with mannequins for that price. What a display that would be
Nagedzi[TK]
LOL nice holster! The stand is nice though--might have to make one of those with ESB grating and LEDs....
troopermaster
Are Sideshow connected to Anovos? This suit has a lot of Anovos tells as well as all the obvious RS tells, too.
sylverbard[TK]
Are Sideshow connected to Anovos? This suit has a lot of Anovos tells as well as all the obvious RS tells, too. Anovos scanned an original. Same basics as rs.
Dark CMF[Staff]
Yeah... That may have some stellar appeal to the non-501st crowd, but around here especially, we've all got very nice looking Stormtroopers for much less money!
troopermaster
Don't make me laugh. Regardless if Anovos scanned anything original, they still recast an RS. Every single tell is there, right down to the sculpted parts Rob made as well as the parts I gave to Rob, and I can see one of my tells in the photo above. justjoseph63[Staff]
I think I'm gonna' order one of these, but only because they offer a $15.00 discount if I sign up for their newsletter. I wonder if they would throw in the foam inserts to straighten out the left shin? These lines in the ad are great: Sideshow have created what we consider to be one of the most perfectly blended representations available. Item shown is a prototype. When shipped, the final production piece may differ in appearance.
Daetrin[Admin]
It's cheaper to buy a set of TM, built, and put it on a mannequin. That's what I would do.

jkno
No Star Wars collectible from Sideshow is accurate. None. They are not known for accuracy, but for their "artistic interpretation", something which may go ok with Marvel and DC collectors, but for sure doesn't work so well with Star Wars collectors. The statue is not accurate and waaaaay too overpriced. You can get a few accurate armors and cool flexible mannequins to make a small Stormtrooper army instead of this statue.
