Jimmiroquai Rogue One Builds

How heavy is it going to be? And do you have any new updates, it's just too exciting!

We're using a much lighter resin-fiberglass mix, but i'll know more once i finish everything. :)

It's update time!

Still finishing and cleaning up the ShoreT master.  Finsihing really is the longest stage.

Chest, Back and Abs are almost done. Just some tweaking of the details left to do:

<DROOL!!> When I first saw the Shoretrooper in little clips and such, I wasn't that impressed. However, seeing it come to life here has made me want one so bad!! This is my favorite of the new armors! Part TB part TK but all new. I think the prop makers for R1 knocked it out of the park this time.

I know it may be too early to ask but can you give us a ballpark $ for what you may want for a helmet and armor set so I can start hiding money from my wife!! .....I mean start the negotiations with her??!!

Shoretrooper is my next kit I'd like. I think the wife is only going to tolerate one more! Might as well be this awesome kit!

You took the words out of my mouth!

This looks fantastic!

With all the back detail sculpted in won't it lose a lot in the pull?

Jimmi's armor isn't pulled. It's fiber glassed into a negative form, if I'm not mistaken, so should retain most of the detail.

I'm looking at heat sinks 2mm apart in the back detail. I don't know much about fiberglass moulding.

Jim Awesome work as always this is looking great, can I ask what material did you use for the ribbed soft parts in the Shore Trooper and the Death Trooper and did your tailor sew all the individual lines in it and did he use a wadding for the backing?

Updates!

Finishing the helmet is still ongoing (and apparently never ending. haha)  I hope to have this finished by Thursday.  We're also revising the greeblies.

Most of the armor has been prototyped already.  The forearms and shoulder bells are being cleaned up.  All that's left to prototype are the biceps, skirts, and belt boxes.

My british parachute harness also came in and it was a shame to cut a strap from that complete set for this buckle.  But i had to do the dirty work.  I was amazed at how close our prototype was even if it was sculpted using pictures as basis.

First test casts of the chest, back, and abs in black flexible fiberglass.  Test fitting soon!

ShoreT helmet is done! Fortunately/unfortunately, slots for the first run filled up in less than 12 hours.

I'm surprised it took 12hrs! Yet another awesome piece of work Jim.
