Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 IPM Insider

Recommended Posts

The Imperial Propaganda Department of the FISD has dispatched some agents give us some coverage of the happenings at Celebration Europe in London!

But before that we have a message for you FISD members who are going to the event (or are already there!):

FISD Group Photos @ Celebration Europe London

Besides the 10th anniversary of FISD, July 2016 has another great Star Wars event: Celebration Europe London! Troopers from all over the world will gather to celebrate Star Wars with their families, friends and fellow Legionnaires.

We would like to do a group photo shoot with all FISD members attending CE. The UKG is organizing a photo shoot for the 501st and Rebel Legion, and we can make Detachment photos right after!

The shoot will be held on Saturday July 16th, starting at 8am, in front of the west entrance to ExCel, the event venue. If you want to wear your armor, please make sure to be there at 7am to have enough time to suit up. The shoot is open to all 501st members, with or without costume! Let's make the Legion and FISD proud!

More info can be found here: http://www.whitearmo...sd-photo-shoot/

Hope to see you in London!

Is that an FOTK thermal detonator on the back of the death trooper?

It sure does look really similar. It has FOTK elements like the handplates and general shape of the shoulders with some grooves on it.

Wow the deathtrooper armor is complex. Earlier version of the TD?

EDIT: Love the gestapo pants on the shoretrooper

Awesome pictures none the less, thanks for sharing.

That's why so many are up in arms, though the armor is supposed to be pre IV it has the look and assembly features of the First Order, kinda bassackwards.

Those TK's are falling apart! Someone from the UKG needs to be allowed up there to piece those splitting seams back together. I'm loving the Death Troopers and Shore Troopers. Nice to see the E-11 back again along with lots of cool new boasters.

Just something to note, there are bigger clearer versions of the uploaded pictures in the albums (just click on the picture as it will link you to a higher resolution picture).

The majority of the pictures here will be smaller for readability reasons.

Thinking the same thing, good luck to any vendor replicating those

Not sure if vendors would bother to make R1 troopers when they can stick to the OT. Just like how there isn't a Rebels series TK available. But who knows? To the person who wants to sculpt an R1 kit, bring it on I say!

Why should that bother people? Here's my view! TKs are Vader's troopers. They are the foot soldiers for the empire. We now know that Death Troopers are Director Krennics heavy troopers. We know from ANH Vader isn't impressed by the Death Star (compared to the power of the force), so I'm assuming Krennic and Vader represent different factions within the empire and aren't best of buds. So, their troops would have different appearances! By the time of the First Order, perhaps the factions are more aligned and thus the TKs have merged with the DTs and therefore FNs share features of both!

Besides, remember my other argument, If we all hate everything that's different from the classic TK, we wouldn't have Biker Scouts, SnowTroopers, Clones, etc.

I don't have any problems with it but those that feel the OTTK armor should remain in it's current state believe otherwise. As stated before, Rouge One armor is visually a cross between OTTK and FOTK. Given the chronological order of this movie it doesn't make any sense to have armor looking like it does. IMHO the Rouge armor was designed for mobility not accuracy. The detail in the armor makes OTTK look sanitized, an eye sore to some. Again, I like it.
