prode1[TK]
Ok this may be a weird question but where do the screws go on the helmet on the ear? how many needed? and what is the best way to screw the screws in so that the helmet wont crack. riveting
They go somewhere about here 3 in each earcap, so 6 screw's in total I used this method just don't over tighten them, the lid's fairly robust lol Edited February 15, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021

Ph1l2007
I'm going to do this to my MR helmet as well. Can you just screw the screws directly into the plastic, or do you need to use a drill bit and make a hole first before adding screws? TK257[501st]
For the way I did mine, the screws don't actually hold anything in place, they're just "decorative". I drilled holes just big enough for the screws to drop right in, and hot-glued them in place.
Ph1l2007
Ok, what size drill bit did you use?
riveting
Ok, what size drill bit did you use? I just used a bit that was fractionally wider than the screws I was using & then slightly countersunk with a 12mm bit to recess the screw heads a little. hope this helps
