Hi Brandon. You have done an excellent job with your build. The only thing that stands out to me that could be an issue is the way the belt is patched up. It will be interesting to see how the staff feels about it.

Also out of curiosity is that the strapping that Anovos has provided that you used on the back?

Good luck with your approval.

It was elastic and E6000 that I started using on the torso but then abandoned in favor of the superior bracket method, and as for the belt I am planning on getting a TKittle belt after I get my tax return.

Hey there Brandon! Nice looking build. Only a couple of other things jump out at me: no photo of the D-ring on the back of your E-11, and the fact that you painted the two snaps on your butt plate, where the cod attachment connects to it. Other than that, have to wait and see what the ruling is on the belt, but the build looks good overall. Good luck!

Just a tip, Brandon, if you add some foam (perhaps 1/2" - 1" thick, maybe a 2" strip?) inside the back of the thigh armor on the left leg, just before the back of the knee, the added space taken will pull the front of the thighs more flush to the front of your leg. That will help stop the sniper plate from getting caught under it.

Sort of like what they did in this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34005-best-non-electronic-armor-mods/

Hi Brandon, thank you for your extreme patience and welcome to your EI badge review

CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

Thanks for getting all the necessary photos posted up. Upon inspection your armor meets all requirements pertaining to the level 2 CRL, so Congratulations and welcome to the rank of Expert Infantry!! :salute:

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:
In this section, we review suggestions made by your fellow troopers and our own observations, that go towards improving the final look of your armor. If any suggestions require changes, we list those in the above section If changes are required that would effect a future Centurion application they will be mentioned in that section below.

Let us start by saying overall you have a solid build, and have done a great job assembling this kit. We have a few things to cover regarding fit and finish here so we shall start at the top and work our way down.

Helmet: We know the Anovos helmets come per-trimmed and assembled, but they do look so much better with a few tweaks.

Frown and Eyes:

The eye holes could do with a minor trim to take a little more of the material out that shouldn't be there.

Nice work cleaning up the over spray, so really just need to improve the taper at the ends of the frown so they lean out to a point.

2016021895182922_zpsg8pj1lscv2_zpsnmjc2d

Shoulder bells: This is a simple mod, just shorten up the straps that connect the top of the Bells to the Bridges so the two virtually touch as they are in the below screen shot.

Belt: This took a little bit of deliberation, as the rest of your armor looks great, I am glad to see you posted in your app thread that you are looking to replace it, as we would strongly suggest you do exactly that. its not so much the fact that they need to be patched to meet requirements but more to the point, the material part is not as good as we see on many other canvas belts available, and I know you want to look the best you can or you would not have mentioned the above replacement.

The material sags and becomes misshapen due to its thinness.

Sniper plate caught behind thigh armor:

We see in a few photos that your Sniper plate tends to catch behind the thigh (a common problem) You can help remedy this by placing a piece of foam at the back of the lower thigh armor, in turn pulling the front of the thigh closer to your leg and avoiding the SP from tucking under it.

Centurion Suggestions:
The ultimate accuracy required for Centurion is up to the trooper, but we certainly try and identify as much as possible, to get you looking the absolute best you can for this level.

Below is some of the fine tuning and changes we would like to see in your future application, as you have done so well to come this far, I don't see any reason for you not to go the whole way.

A replacement soft belt is definitely required to help get you over the line.

Unless a rivet removal and patch job looks invisible, the supplied belts in these kits are not of a standard that would be fitting for Centurion level.

Remove the white paint from the two butt plate snaps

20160218_181307_zpshbmfnjng.jpg

Bicep cover strips: These should finish at the ends of the bicep, but yours appear to continue past that point. Armor bite can be a painful thing and these strips look like they could do you some damage, so I would suggest you sand them down to finish with the bottom ridge.

20160218_175057_zpskcie3gyrv2_zpstogj9vx

Knee ammo pack rivets: We see the image where they are painted, so just make sure you have new full length photos taken for a Centurion app, as they are not painted in those images in this application.

Thermal Det clips: They look a little dangerous, as they could possibly scratch either your armor or maybe scrape someone else. If you can get those off and re bend them a little more those ends will sit flat and not protrude as they are.

20160218_181742_zpssaaiqemm.jpg

Keep an eye on the overlap that is occurring at your side where the ab and kidney meet (rivet side). these should butt up against each other, perhaps some foam behind might fix that, and just check on the rivet s aligning. I think this possibly moved when you raised your arms for the other side on shot.

Brandon, you are one of the trail blazers, when it comes to the first few Anovos kits to come through the EIB process, think of these requested changes as your opportunity to set the standard, the precedent, for all Anovos applications to come.

Follow the CRL for level 3, make sure you post all required photos replace the soft belt and make your adjustments.

Once again congratulations and we look forward to seeing you again in the Centurion application thread. :jc_doublethumbup:
