Quick question on drop boxes

Recommended Posts

What are they for?? (Probably been asked before but I couldn't find an answer)

Did they have any supposed purpose for a stormtrooper, or were they just a 'dangly bit'?

Maybe for keeping mints in? :D

I think that the folks who designed the costume thought it would look cool... and space soldier-ish.

Same goes for the thigh pack. I've heard it called an ammo pack or a power pack but its a dumb place to store just about anything :)

You're probably right. But I always thought those thigh packs would be ideal for connecting with a rebel's crotch in CQC :D Edited by humperdingle

Ammo for the laser gun?

Blastech Industries recommends 7 triple A batteries to power the the standard Imperial issue E-11, which fit nicely in a drop box... :laugh1:

I believe the reason it is on the lower right thigh is to hide the bad mismatch of the thigh halves. The test photos show the larger ammo belt on the thigh so the prop department must have realised it was too big and made a smaller version. The sniper knee plate was probably an afterthought too, like the drop boxes.
