Converting ANOVOS kit to ESB Centurion

Recommended Posts

Amazing work so far! You may be inspiring me to change my Anovos to an ESB... I really like the idea of the holster on the right... and the black frown.

Oh man.

Bro...do it. I've already done all the legwork so I can help you with the bucket.

Shaun, when we worked on Omar's helmet, we copied the actually helmet found on starwarshelmets.com.

If you have a moment, you might want to redo the tip of the left frown and get close to the references below.

I know it will be a task, but it stray away from the ROTJ frown.   I hope this helps.

I studied your beautiful helmet over and over and I can see you painted a little more on the "lips" area.

I'm not sure if it will be an issue, but let's see what Tony can find on it.

Hey Walter! I did all my research on starwarshelmets.com too. I really liked the look of the MK2 helmet that was produced specifically for Empire, but if it endangers my approval then I'll have to change the frown.

Here is the screen used MK2:

So here's your answer coming from the previous DO...

"MK2 was a ROTJ prototype using all ROTJ armor details specifically the white edge trim.  If someone is going ESB, I would only support the standard ANH type frown painted black"

Noooooo! Bummer. I'll get to work on cleaning it up.

Alright! I reshaped the frown to the CRL standards, added in the padding, put the Hovi tips back on, and I can now say that the helmet is complete! Well, at least until I get all the electronics.

Phoenix Props ESB E-11 w/aluminum pipe ready to go! Thanks to a fellow Garrison member for this beauty. I'll be adding on a few real sterling parts a bit later as well!

And just for fun, here is all the ESB stuff layed out :)

Since I had my paints out I also went ahead and painted the Ab buttons.

I wanted to post a few more pics of how much I removed from the frown

Also I was just alerted to the fact that I need to flip my s trim around so it closes under the vocoder. I'll be doing that ASAP

Looking great. IMO the MK2 is cool but it is so close to ROTJ. Just go for ESB and we can troop like twins! :)

Hey Adam!  Ya man, ESB all the way!  They look so much more menacing!

So I was planning on doing another update on here soon, but my baby boy decided to try and come a bit earlier than his due date! Needless to say, I'll be a little preoccupied for a while.

Wish me luck!

Good luck and congrats! You are going to have a lot less time for updates now, but it's worth it! :)

Haha totally! I'm very excited to force him to fall in love with Star Wars. I've already got my wife on board so my poor kid has no choice!

Let me be the first on the FISD to say ... Congratulations on your fatherhood status! His baby trooper arrived! :)

Baby Trooper indeed! Thanks so much Walter!

5 1/2 pounds of perfection. :)

Might I suggest as your Legion ID# 16308 16038 16309 30816 or 30916? They are available! http://www.501st.com/members/search_avail_ids.php

That's a fantastic idea. I already have a legion ID for my TB...TB-25415...can I have a second for my TK or do I need to use the same one?
