Got a TIE bucket..how do you guys pad your buckets?

Recommended Posts

I use the standard TK star foam, and a tight chinstrap.

Some people use a hardhat liner, or a bunch of padding like a baseball or motorcycle helmet. (overkill in my opinion.)

I like my helmets to be lightweight, with lot's of airflow.

padding inside a helmet is completely just too heavy, bulky and sweat inducing. sure, you're going to see people advising all sorts of

fancy padding. To me it's not like you're going to get hit with a stick, rock or baseball bat.

sometimes I wonder why there is so much padding needed?

Yea I'm wondering what I should do chinstrap wise I figured get some Velcro and make a tiny makeshift one and cover a part in soft cloth when I wear it? What did you make your chinstrap out of?

Only reason I need padding is cause tie buckets are big and it sits too low lol

Why buy one when it's literally just two pieces of elastic and a snap? Just make one yourself.

a box of snaps with tool is about 18$ US and the elastic is not cheap. 6.00 us plus post is cheaper!

Both of which you already have.

I have them... but the mini anorak snaps and tool and the cost of elastic is more expensive than just buying the parts from trooperbay.

No one forces you to use special miniature snaps. The point is that anyone can make helmet straps using what they have left over from the armour building without having to spend anything extra.
