Daetrin[Admin]
Curious to see what others do. I have rivets now, but next time would probably ABS it to be more screen accurate.

Ryan
I'm planning on going with rivets. I would rather have a sturdy suit than a 100% screen-accurate one. Just my $0.02. -Ryan
WebChief[501st]
My straps are secured with ABS cement and I have no problems with it. I pull in on like a shirt.
Jango_Fett_Jr[501st]
From Troopermaster's research, it looks like the back and chest were connected by a strip of canvas with adjustable snaps, and the ABS strip is simply held onto the backplate with an elastic band. I don't know if this is true for all versions though...?

I don't know if this is true for all versions though...? Wha? Nobody used CA glue and accelerator spray? Works like a charm. It cures in less than 10 seconds, and in extreme goof ups you can pop it off (granted, with a LOT of effort) and re-glue. I've yet to have a well-glued joint "pop off" while trooping, though.
