troopermaster Posted November 11, 2015 Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 After you have chamfered the edge of the tube, you should gently warm up the end caps with a heat gun or hair dryer. Hold the heat gun several inches away from the end cap and wave it side to side so you don't heat up one spot, while turning the end cap. Two turns usually does the trick. Have the end cap upside down and your tube ready to fit straight away and they pop right in. Make sure to drill a breather hole under where the detonator plate will go so relieve any back pressure. troopermaster Posted November 11, 2015 Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 I doubt they would crack after fitting if put on correctly. The caps are formed on the same size pipe so it's a guaranteed fit. The only reason they are tight is the plastic shrinks slightly as it cools, so heating them up makes them expand which makes them easier to fit on.
