bicep placement

Recommended Posts

what is the correct amount of bicep armor that is exposed below the shoulder bell? is there an amount?  ive looked at a ton of screenshots from the movie and cant really find a common amount. And also how close should the the wrist of the forearm armor be to the glove. please help with any measurements or pictures that you can share.

thanks for your response this problem seems 2 be keeping me from getting finished and approved 501st

Since everyone's arms are different lengths, just go for the minimal amount while still being very comfortable. You dont want armor "bite" but you dont want huge gaps either. Attach the shoulder bell, bicep and forearm together with a glove on and look in a mirror to see how the gaps look. Hope this helps! :)

Yea, if you have checked out the photo references link at the top,  there are plenty of screen shots.  Many have the bicep piece almost entirely hanging below the shoulder, with just the edge under the shoulder.  Others have half of the part hidden.  There is some play there.

There's no correct "amount" of biceps to be hidden inside the shoulder bell because this is not relevant when strapping the arms together. The key thing is to strap the biceps with the forearm with an elastic strap leaving no gap between them. And basically you're done.

If you want to add a strap between the biceps and shoulder bell for more safety then just sleeve the biceps w/ forearm, position your elbow at the junction between both, and then you have the "correct" position of your biceps.

Interesting read about the matter:
