About reference pictures, there are few excellent and very interesting pictures about the strapping used for ROTJ in the newly released book "Star Wars Costumes: the Original Trilogy". And I have some news for you: My first troop will be in 2 weeks and I hope to write a report for the FTE. For this troop I want to upgrade my boots with white soles and add some fans to my helmet (on the way). Last but not least are inner dropboxes. I want them to be "unseful", so I'm working on a way to open the dropboxes without any noticable modification. Really looking forward to wear my suit! So here we go: - brushing the soles clean - taping the leather so no paint comes onto it - spraying - finished! There is still some cleaning up to do, but I'm quite satisfied with it.
