joshsurf[TK]
Hey guys any electronic people out there? I just bought a 10 w aker amp and found that the feed back from the mic and the fact that I had to deal with wires got me mad! So I decided to by a throat mic. Problem solved I thought! Now the mic has arrived I can't get it to work thru the Aker. The mic is for use with a radio and has a 3 ring 3.5 mm jack. The Acker has only 1 ring jack. Are these incompatible or what any advice would be amazing!
Tolo[TK]
You are using a headphone/mic combo. The Aker amp is not build for these type of connection. You will notice that your jack is much more longer than the original Aker jack. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
joshsurf[TK]
So an adapter could fix it?

Toddo[TK]
Everyone I've seen use this combo has had to splice wiring. It will take some patience and experimentation to get it right.

bace222
To joshsurf I was wondering if you have found a solution to your throat mic issue? I just bought the same type of throat mic and can't get it to work with the aker either :/
toybiz[TK]
Bace222 did you check out my thread on throat mics? May hold the solution for you. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28793-my-experience-using-a-throat-mic-and-source-for-a-mic-only-version/
bace222
^ wow Adam! I'm not sure how I missed this thread. I found a throat mic that should be here any day now but if it doesn't work I now have a for sure alternative to fall back on. Thanks! HansDC[TK]
Any throat mic with a stereo plug (2 ring) will work with the AKER.
