March 2014: 15% of respondents

August 2010: 9% of respondents

March 2014: 5% of respondents

August 2010: 2% of respondents

March 2014: 0% of respondents

August 2010: 47% of respondents

March 2014: 34% of respondents

Conclusions:

1. In the past 4 years, % sporting FX helmets has fallen in half across all boards.

2. % sporting FX armor ha also fallen significantly in the detachments, but also across the Legion

2. For all people claim FISD is elitist, FX percentages on MEPD are even smaller than FISD.

3. FX armor is worn at most by 34% of Legion respondents, and can no longer be called the backbone of the Legion by any stretch of the imagination.

4. FX helmets are used even less.  Zero on MEPD, and at most 15% in the Legion.

 

I think it's fair to say that the FX helmet is dead, but the armor still has some life left in it.

My first attempt at all this is an ATA helmet which should come Saturday, and I'm now on the 7 month wait list for ATA armor, so I voted as such. Kinda comforting to see its a popular choice

Well, the DL at the time was not doing it - someone had to step on up...

 

This is always good data to have. I can go back years to show what the FX percentages were back then and compare it to 2014. It clearly shows the decline of FX armor, particularly the helmet. And, I used to post the same poll on MEPD (hey, I was XO there at one time and the webmaster, why not). MEPD's numbers of FX have always been lower than FISD, yet no one seems to bash sandtroopers about it...

A very underrated cast member, IMHO, but in a way all the more fun because all the pressure is on the leads like Dr. Frakenfurter, Brad, Rocky. Oh wait...sorry, can you tell I'm of a certain age? *

Forgot? This is the 2014 poll... the Anovos kit didn't exist.

 

Of course, when it's updated for 2016, that does seem like an obvious addition. Somehow I doubt it's far from anyone's minds, though.
