SNAPS AND RIVETS? HELP!

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

How many total snaps/rivets do I need for my assembly of AP armor?

Im only aiming for 501st Approval ONLY.

People have mentioned to me that I order a 100PK of snaps, but why do I need that many?

As for the rivet sizes, what sizes do I need for the belt, butt, and knee pack?

Im planning on cutting out plastic abs squares for my rivets/snaps to glue them on, also including washers to them also

As for elastic straps, I know I need white for shoulders and black for arms, and other assembly, what size? 1 " or 1"1/2 or 2?

Please Help me out guys! Thank You!

I AM MAKING A LIST FOR THE STORE TOMORROW.

Just go ahead and get the 100. You will mess up a few while constructing and then it is always wise to have extras for modifications and repairs. So when you think you have enough, just get extras.

I only used 10 snaps for my TK, but I also used the metal brackets because I don't like the snaps to attach the chest to ab and the back to kidney. Two for the shoulder bells, two for the canvas belt, two for the butt plate, and one for the right side clam shell closure for the ab plate.  I also used seven split rivets and two cap rivets, just like they did during filming.

Well I was going to use brackets but then, I was just going to put my snaps in my elastic straps and glue them to square plastic to glue onto my armor. Does it matter what type of snaps? Nickel? Black? Brass?
