To the producer of AP armor: why the sink aerators?

I was just asking this because after all these years this gorgeous helmet has been plagued by fact that it comes with these plumbing parts that EVERYONE throws away and replaces with hovi mic tips. Correct hovis are out there!!! How 'bout an upgrade????

They're better than a recast (morally)

 

And everyone can upgrade themselves, if they want to. Any upgrade on behalf of AP would increase the cost.

Yeah really! Looks like the ones on the FX helmet.   I am in the middle of an AP helmet build and before I even started I ordered accurate hovi mic tips. I will not put those sink parts on my helmet.

At least there are prop makers that readily sell accurate ones.
