It was my first time participating in this "national holiday" and was great to see the support shown by everyone that came to both the library and the book store. The library had a whole day of events set up for the kids that included snacks, activities and a costume contest while Half Price Books had displays set up, prizes for correct trivia answers and discounts throughout the store if you were dressed in Star Wars attire. It was my understanding that when they wanted to schedule us at the book store and were told we may not be able to make it with all the other events that day, they made it later in the evening to accomodate us since they really wanted us there.
