nice lookin kit there BJ!

only thing I noticed is that your holster's strapping appears not to be 3/4" wide, the handle strap, and belt straps appear to be 1" thick? or maybe even thicker?

and you might want to consider adding rivets to the knee plate? (not a listed detail but in ROTJ they did have rivets!)

Thanks, Vern!

Yes, the straps are over an inch wide. I never thought to measure them since they looked proportionate. I was more concerned with the belt width. lol.

I can cut them down if they are an issue. For the knee rivets, the CRL just says "may have", so I decided to leave them out like ANH knees. I'll probably end up adding them.

Be interesting to see how you get on with this, spent ages comparing my cfo to the CRL and I feel everything is good for all levels, except the belt which is over 1inch wider than suggested.

My belt is 2 & 1/2 inches wide. I trimmed it down to match the CRL and its a woven nylon material. So it should be good. ;)

Ah ok, sorry, i thought you were using it as shipped :)

Out of interest, did th eedges need any kind of sealing after trimming?

thanks!

Looks fine to me. Normally I'd say you should add the rivets to the knee plate, but since that might make other (non-ROTJ) troopers think it's okey too, I'm hesitant to say so. Also, what happened to your TD? The left end of it looks like it took an acid bath. :P

Approved! :duim:

Thank you, Sir!

Yeah, I thought that too about the knee plate, as I wasn't sure about the ROTJ build, but after researching it more, it seems they had them. Perhaps something to add to the CRL. lol. :)

And yeah, I spilled a bit of glue on my TD. I'll be taking a bit of goo-gone to that soon. :)

Thanks so much guys! :D I really appreciate all the advice & tips.

I love this armor. It was fun putting together & I get a kick out of being the only non-ANH trooper at troops. lol.
