Yes, im 6ft. tall exactly. I just went back and searched the members tab and can confirm that it was from Darman, from FL USA.

I appreciate the kind words! Yes, I do have the black elastic around the biceps. I can post a picture with just the chest/back/shoulder bell/ bicep pieces on in the morning if necessary, just to clearly show the black elastic.

EDIT: looking back at the pics, I think the bicep pieces slipped out from the black elastic. This is actually an issue I fought with for a while. I have long, lanky arms...so for me to get what I thought was an acceptable gap between the bottom of the bicep and the top of the forearm, I had to position the biceps a little lower than I would have liked as far as the shoulder bell elastic holding the bicep snug in place. Hopefully that makes sense.

Hi Joshua.

In a nutshell...

You look good in your amour :)

All looks nicely in proportion.

I have 3 critiques, that "should not" affect your EIB application.

1. Your holster and straps look very long. We have seen this very recently on another trooper that was 5" shorter than you in height.

2. Your TD looks a little wide.

What is its overall length?

It may be that the end caps needs to go on a bit more or the metal clips move towards the end caps.

3. And finally, can we see a close up of the bottom of your left thigh?

I can't quite tell from the pics submitted what is going on there?

Have you used the cover strip or overlap construction method?

Good luck Trooper! :)

It does indeed look like darmans holsters are on the long side.

I would recommend making the bicep more slim for a less puffy look. Your last picture makes it quite clear that there's a lot of space in between your arm and the armour.

Thanks guys. I just measured the TD, and it comes in at a hair over 7 inches. Hopefully that passes. I didn't realize there was a specific length for it, as its looks kinda small to me, I just used what AP gave me not even thinking I should cut it.

On the armor I used an overlap method, with no cover strips.

I have company headed over now, but I can get a picture of the bottom of the left thigh today for sure. There is a tiny, tiny bit of overhang on it, which is probably what you saw.

And I 1,000% agree about the biceps. Any tricks on how to undo all the E6000 I used to put them together? This is something I'm looking to do in the next month or so, once things slow down for me at work.'

7" overall length is not too small then.

I think the aimed for length is actually 7.5"

It's just a camera trick then, caused by the gap from the button panel to the end caps, and the distance of the metal clips from the end caps.

Undoing E6000 glue is actually quite straight forward.

Here are 2. Methods that can work for you.

1. Put your biceps in the freezer for a few hours.

The rubberised glue will change state to allow you to prize it carefully apart.

2. For larger items, such as thighs, you can carefully cut through the rubberised glue with a craft knife blade.

Thanks Phil. I can add a picture of the TD later with measuring tape when i do the thigh if thats needed. And thanks about the glue suggestions for the biceps, i actually did not know those tips. That is by far the part of my kit i'm least happy with. I plan on fixing the biceps in the next month or so. I'm going to try my best for centurion before the year is through. Is my holster something that could possible permit that status?

And thanks again for all the suggestions and opinions everyone. I want my kit to look as good as possible, and i'd love to be the first person in my garrison to be EIB and eventually Centurion.

Josh, overall the kit is looking nice. Well proportioned to your body. :duim:

Not sure if this will be an issue with the approval for EiB or later for Centurion, but the visible snap back on the kidney plate on the right side seems unusual, I have not seen this done before. Usually folks use a snap plate inside the kidney to attach the strapping.

As for future Centurion consideration (and I know you mentioned you have work do to before getting there), I have not seen it mentioned yet, but you may have to re-do all your overlap joins to be butt-joined with cover strip assembly for approval based on the newly approved Centurion requirements.

Good luck with EiB!

I was under the impression that i was supposed to have that snap on the kidney plate. This is what i followed under the Centutrion gudelines: "A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate shall be present." I just put it there for the CRL as i do not need it to wear my kit or attach strapping. I thought i was going the extra mile, i'd be really dissapointed if that kept me from EIB. I'm not sure what to do about that, so i'll sit back and see what options ya'll have for me as far as that. Thanks Charles.

I think you may have answered your own question. A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate. Not kidney plate.

Nothing that can't be fixed. Good luck with your EIB application, I submitted mine today. Oh the suspense!

That is an easy fix. You can make up some ABS paste from some scrap pieces and some acetone.

Thanks Andrew! Crazy I've made it this far!

Thanks also Gary for the tip. Do you have any suggestion on actually doing the process of making the paste? I tried searching, but didn't come up with too much. I'd love to fix that problem I caused myself.

Mathias, what do I need to adjust/fix on my kit to get it officially up to EIB standards? I'll go ahead and get it done as soon as possible. The other things that need fixing and adjusting that don't affect EIB, but will make my kit better, I'll get to those towards the end of the month when I make my run towards centurion. I'm just swamped at the moment, but would like to at least earn EIB. Thank you!

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and kind words to help me have the best kit I can. Troopers helping troopers!

Taking a second look at this I would also recommend removing the washers on the outside of the TD between the pipe and clips since they are creating a space that shouldn't be there. But still, approved. :duim:

THANK YOOOU! I'm so excited to be EIB! I'm fixing my biceps this weekend along with removing the button on the kidney plate, removing the washers like you pointed out. Then I plan on trimming a small amount off of my bottom left thigh and doing the other necessary add on's and mods for centurion!

I want to be as best as possible, so would you guys recommend trimming my holster down, both the straps and off the bottom. Or would I be better off just buying a new one? Thanks.
