I can pretty much see the lines I need to trim at, but to be safe ill trace them, post some pics, and then get your opinions. Dont want to screw this up. Moose Posted September 10, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) Marked the lines on my helmet. Some areas have 2 and are numbered. Im not sure which one to cut at. Also not sure if I need to trim the forehead area of the faceplate or not. Looks like it ok already. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Will sand with dremel to smoothe out the lines once cut. Mogwai[TK] Posted September 10, 2012 Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 Easy answer. Never ever cut too much. Start with Line 1 and when you think you need more trimming, cut some more. Dday[501st] Posted September 10, 2012 Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 One thing I wish I had done with my ATA is made the bottom where the two halfs connected longer, for a better connection. It's like Serge says, cut a little and cut more if you need. Most of the side cuts are hidden under the ears anyways, so leaving a little extra isn't a big deal. Also the right eye (the one with the bump) needs to be trimmed out a little more. You're doing it the right way though, little by little. Great work so far.
