Help with CFO ears.

Recommended Posts

I'm in the same boat - had a helmet for a year, and just started to build it - the ears are really thin... JoeR has a picture of the actual molds used, and also a picture of attaching bolts to the ears as opposed to gluing them on... they are here on the forum somewhere...

Im on holiday at the mo but they need timming quite thin and marrying up to the helmet until you get a good flush fit. I'll see if I can find some pics and post but most of them on on my computer at home. What plastic is it? I have spare pinseal ears and maybe a spare smooth.

Cheers

I'll find the pictures and post them up.

They do get trimmed down to a few mm in places. There is a lot of reference on star wars helmets. You trim them the same was as regular ANH/ESB helmet though, constantly putting them up to the helmet and marking the areas to reduce etc.
