Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying

Recommended Posts

Sorry to burst your bubble but AA is a lying toe rag, you can make the kit look nice, but take what he says with a large pinch of salt.

welcome to fisd by the way..

Hi guys

Hi got a question regarding Corsair-kids, a recaster of ATa I believe.

Can their armors be approved by the 501st legion?

I make that question because Corsair Kids is a spanish recaster, and we got a lot of people buying them and trying to get into the legion.

Thanks a lot guys.

Not an ATA recast. Just another FX recast. Worst of the bunch.

Yes, you might be able to get approved, but it will be hard and more work than necessary if they had gone with a better kit to start with.

Star Fortress is now on Etsy as Warpcostumegallery and Amazon at Thor's Costumes and Hobbies. Just an FYI.

Mathias, they have recasted ATA armor since a few months, and they say it in their web and FB.

Hi Guys

Am looking to get a stormtrooper outfit and went through all the advice. I am looking at purchasing it from these guys:

Original Storm Troopers

http://originalstormtrooper.com/

Are they reliable and credible? It looks like they are the original makers of the suits for the films but you just cannot be sure these days.

ebay

Can anyone verify the quality of this? I know we were warned about Ebay kits, but I haven't seen much bad press. I'm starting to obsess about getting a set like immediately.

Hi Dave.  I believe this is the link you are looking for...

http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31895-warning-evade-this-seller/

Also it appears that TK Armour also tried to force his way onto the getting started thread and you can check out that thread to see how it turned out.

I would steer clear!

Thanks Steve,

Much appreciated definitely going with Authentic Props, My contact reached out to me on my first post here. I think he's the best bet, many are saying the same.

Cheers

Totally a noob  but also I've never built anything in my life that required more than an allen wrench... If you guys could brief me quickly on what materials are considered good and which are not when picking out these kits, I would be terribly grateful. Also I am a woman and 5'4 and am wondering who would be someone to turn to for an armor that would fit me since most I've come across are generally men and 5'9 +

Thanks in advance guys! :smiley-sw013:
