arduino: a cheap board for E11 blaster effects

Recommended Posts

i am still unsure if remove the on/off status blue light because it's too powerful and bright

or maybe i can direct the light emitted to the front filter of the hengstler..

or maybe i will add just a plastic cover

Hi Manuel!

I am interested in purchasing an Arduino for my Blaster, but ... is it possible to somehow adapt to SDS?

Thanks and greetings from Spain ;)

It may be a hi-bright led, you make be able to get a duller one or even add a resister to the led to reduce the power to it :duim:

i don't think u can use the sds blaster with arduino+mp3 board+speakers, there is not enought space; also the mp3 board need some extra millimeters in the hengstler counter as well the battery inside the receiver. This project fit a pvc/metal pipe blaster with a custom hengestler and receiver.

you are right, i can also decrease the brightness via arduino but i think it will absorb the same energy and it's not very efficient that way (as well adding a resistor). If i dont' need that light it's better to change the led. So first i will test moving the led and adding a cover, after that i will decide..

today i changed the front speaker with this one, 2w 8ohm

the loudness is almost like the old one and the quality is much better because of wider range of frequencies (170 hz -20 khz)

Edit: this speaker has issues with the mini-amp, had to remove and put back the old speaker!

so i got the chance to take some pictures of the weapon, battled-damaged after 2 war-events :D

This is great and I'm going to give building it a shot. Does this method allow for RGB LEDs along the barrel like the blaster core version? Thank you for sharing your work.

Bob

this is not implemented in this version

This is an amazing thread! Thanks for taking the time to post this in detail.

thanks

I am considering on making one for myself. I have the software file for the Arduino. Can you post the sound files in a ZIP file? Thanks.

i sent you a pm

Man if you sold this kit. I would be ALL OVER IT. This is great, and now everything else seems subpar!

thanks, i may consider selling this in the future but, at the same time, i hope you will get the right help to build it, as you said in the other forum

p.s.

i added more informations about the battery in the first page.

i just completed a slight modification:

I plugged the hole on the left side of the counter and I moved the blue LED inside the counter, with the light facing up. In this way we can see the blue pulsing light which indicates the state ON, via the net in front of the counter. Before it was too bright and not very canon.

just a note about a new mp3 sound module found that may fit this project. This is the link to the ebay seller

From description datasheet it plays mp3 files via serial RS232 mode (that means can be controlled easily trought arduino), powered by 5volts

it's cheaper (19$ / 15€) and smaller (because it uses micro-sd instead of SD card) and may works fine with arduino.

I just bought 1 for test.
