DAZZ
...yeah, that's pretty much the question: What colors for both Humbrol & Testors paints are used for helmet & ab buttons. I want to be "spot on". I've seen references to both gloss & satin/matte black for vocoder & chin. Same goes for the frown. Ears? which gray , Black outline - glossy, or satin. You see where I'm going with this... Thanks, Darren

RogueTrooper[TK]
Also this may help you to for matching up the ab button colors. If you look at them the blue has a little more greenish tint to it than the testor/Humbrol. DAZZ
I'm going for ESB Centurion. Is the frown & chin gloss black? Colors on the ab the same as ANH? Thanks! Darren Edited March 8, 2012 by DAZZ
RogueTrooper[TK]
I'm going for ESB Centurion. Is the frown & chin gloss black? Colors on the ab the same as ANH? Thanks! Darren Glossy, or satin it does not matter for Centurion. As long as you use the correct colors in the proper details (blue, black, grey). If you are wanting to be "screen accurate" for ESB: Satin for the black Frown/Chin The ab color details are the same for ANH and ESB. DAZZ
Awesome! Thanks, Tom. Do you happen to have the model #'s for satin black - Humbrol or Testors I want to be done with this helmet, moving on to armor Darren

DAZZ
Does anyone have any paint left over that I could buy or borrow? It seems like a waste for me, as I'm only going to use a little for the chin, frown, ears & ab buttons. It would really help out! I'm having to get alot of new stuff for this build, and money is tight (I know it's probably tight for most of us!). Can anyone hook a brother up? kevster[TK]
Paint is pretty cheap. It shouldn't be any more than 10 bucks total for all 3. I got the black and gray testors for 1.39 each and the model master blue for 3.29 at hobby lobby. It will be good to have the paint too in case it gets knocked around and paint chips off.

NICEnEVILmike
I had a hell of a time trying to find the Testor equivalent colors at my local hobby and crafts stores, especially the blue. I ended up just ordering the paint directly from Humbrol. It cost a little over $12 including shipping.
ComradeDave[TK]
Crap... I bought the gloss black... I am going for ESB Centurion too is it a huge deal? Personally I guess being completely screen accurate isn't a life and death situation.
Professor Why
Excuse my lack of knowledge but what is the difference between the Traditional and the Revised? I understand the color difference but is one more screen accurate? (I would assume the Revised).

TKZombie[TK]
I prefer Testors over Humbrol the Humbrol paint is too thin.
