Neo Kerberos
After few month of tranquility, I now restart the modification of my armor. I'm looking for the screws who maintain the chest plate (for a ANH of course). Is it the same screws who maintained the ears ? Do you have a good address where I can found these screws ? Here, they have all too large diameter... Thanks ^^
Locitus[Admin]
Find some M3 flat head machine screws. Should be stocked in any hardware store.

Neo Kerberos
I have recently bought a set which includes a SDS Stunt helmet. Unfortunately, the helmet is incredibly yellowed on a side face... Is it possible to restore the original color by any magical substance ? If not, I think I will paint it, as the original ANH stunts... Some other questions later ^^
Neo Kerberos
My SDS with yellowed parts "HDPE like" painting White is now in process ^^ Please, I need to have all the Humbrol colors references needed to paint the various parts of the armor (grey, blue.. More?). Thanks ! Edited October 20, 2012 by Neo Kerberos

Neo Kerberos
^__^)° About paints, for the blue stripes I have read here that Humbrol Midnight Blue or the blue Humbrol Mediterranean Blue can be used http://www.tonybarne...com/anhref.html What is the good color for a ANH helmet please, French Blue (maybe more for buttons), Midnight Blue or Mediterranean Blue ? The color may change for a "Hero" and a "Stunt" ? Thanks ! Edited October 21, 2012 by Neo Kerberos
Locitus[Admin]
French blue is used by most. The only one I know that uses Mediterranean blue is TM. And I would not recommend using the midnight blue, it is way too dark. No, there is no paint changes between the stunt and hero.
Neo Kerberos
Thanks again ^^ After some troubles, my first picture of the white coating The paints needed are ordered, the next in few days ^^ Finally, I think I will make a "Mr no stripes" ! I have found this picture, don't you have the feeling that the ears screws are mounting reversed the screw rods on the outside o__0)
troopermaster
I have used #48 Mediterranean Blue in the past, but usually I use #14 French Blue, #5 Ad Grey, and #85 Coal Black on my helmet paint jobs.
Locitus[Admin]
Interesting choice on the #85 Paul. I might need to check it out.
Neo Kerberos
Well, the time has passed and I have sold my first SDS armor... For another one ! Not because I love this armor, but I had the opportunity to obtain this second one for a very interesting price... But I have tried to obtain a more ANH screen-accurate version this time (even if it's not easy with the SDS OS kit ^^). So this is the modifications that I have made for the upgrade : General informations Armor = Original Stormtrooper (reworked) Helmet = Original Stormtrooper (reworked and totally repainted) Blaster = E-11 full resin kit (Doopydoo's) Boots = TKBoots Canvas Belt = Home made Inner Drop Boxes = Original Stormtrooper Hand Plates = Sonnenschein (FISD) Neck Seal = Unknown (bought as second hand) Holster = Home made TD Clips = Magikpimboli (501 FR) Strapping brackets = Mr. No Stripes (FISD) Optional removable "Simon's holster" = Home made Strapping of the torso under construction Re-trimming and glueing of the sniper plate Repaint of the buttons Creation of all the missing cover stripes Strapping + elastics Rivets and snap buttons Elastics + cover stripes on the rear Re-trimming of the thigh pack attachment and rivets Correct hand plates Reworked TD with correct belt clips Screen accurate shin guards strapping Arms with no return edges on the front and elastics Canva belt + holster And now photo finish !!! The helmet was originally destined to be a "Mr no stripes" (see previous posts on this page), but finally I have added the blue stripes. With my custom "Simon's holster" Of course the "Original Stormtrooper" armors are absolutely not the most accurate armors, but with a little work, they can become better ^^ Edited March 5, 2014 by Neo Kerberos
Toddo[TK]
You have done a really nice job with this armor. Well-done.
