Thanks guys,

Keith as for the lenses i got a job lot of welders number 5 dark green face shields from the states.I had cut out the eyes in one piece so used the plastic from the eyes as a base to build up a mold in air dry clay. Then all i did was use a heat gun on the face shield to pull the shapes.I only made one set as the molds cracked but they did their job.

I was planning on doing something like that Pete for the lenses. Pushing them through the eye sockets of the helmet is too risky.

I'm going to take two partial fiberglass castings of the face buck (just the eye sections). One casting will have deep eye sockets and the other will have more trimmed out eye sockets, so i will have a choice how to trim the eyes on the kits.

I will have to give the welders shield a try. What did you use to form the shape?

Keith.

this seemed to have fizzled out?

Yeah, bit of a shame. Started off brilliantly (we don't expect anything less than brilliant from Pete).

But don't worry, mate. You'll see mine complete and in action soon enough.

Rich,

I'll get those spare parts out to you this week. Sorry things have just been a bit mad here at home. Trying to sort the flat out for the new arrival due soon and also sorting out this huge pile of white plastic I have in my living room........
