TK bondservnt[501st]
there are several ways to handle helmet interiors. first off is the star or clamshell shaped foam insert that you cut out and mount inside ANH and ESB helmets. there is the helmet liner/hardhat type for the ROTJ. or there is the custom/ do it yourself type which uses any kind of padding you can imagine. ----------- skydex helmet padding system: ------- random info: ------ and finally the screen used way: ---------- -------- Edited February 26, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed

jjliver
Awesome, thanks!! Whats the best way to attach the lenses?
TK 5156[TK]
I can barely get my AP helmet on/off. I dont want to trim the opening of it so most of those options won't work for me. I just use foam but am looking for a better idea also.

Many people cut the green lens material into a strip, bend it into a half circle, and use the ear bolts to secure it in place. Jason, just a tip going forward: instead of asking multiple questions in 1 thread topic, either start a new topic - or better yet, do a search first. There are several topics discussing attaching lenses, along with all the various helmet build threads you might want to review before you start your build. -------- Also, here's an index of all the tutorials created in one place --------- make sure to check the tips and How to sections, along with the FISD Academy. I hope that helps. Edited January 25, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021

Calculon
@ TK4702 Excellent idea (and timely too). I just canceled my order for the Condor Helmet pads from evike.com . Both the green and black ones are on backorder for several more weeks and I hate being at the mercy of the manufacturer or reseller. Going to make a quick trip to my local Canadian Tire and see what I can find. Thanks!

pandatrooper[TK]
Google "knee pad insert" and you will find them. They are commonly used in work pants / coveralls, and military pants ----------- Edited January 25, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021

Evolver79[TK]
I have a few motorcycle helmets I will scavenge parts from. Nothing like taking apart a $700 Arai helmet!! Well I do want to be comfortable...
Laspector[TK]
How are you attaching these? Are you glueing them or velcroing them so they can be removed?
