What's the cheapest EIB passable helmet ?

Recommended Posts

The title says it all.

Apparently the new AM bucket isn't acceptable for EIB (I wish it said that somewhere) and I just spent the last of my savings on that kit.....SO what is the cheapest acceptable helmet and where do I get one from?

Thanks all,

G

Sorry to hear that, i made the same mistake in the past. I got an Authentic Props from Mark wich had minor scratches that i fixed. I think he sells them 130 us.

An AP seconds kit is a good choice, occasionally Mark has them for sale. If you look in the For Sale section you should be able to find the most recent offering, along with the price he wanted.

Other than that, just keep your eyes open for helmet sales. Most of the non-ebay helmets I've seen come up over the past months - including a VT that is right now up for sale DIRT CHEAP - will pass EIB muster.

I believe ATA will be your least expensive option - he even undersells the AP recaster in Australia - even when shipping is factored in! If you want ABS though, your best legitimate option is looking for an AP second.

For the record - the FX is the only helmet that I know of that is 501st acceptable but is *not* EIB acceptable.

i have a couple of buckets from different makers

my number 1 is the older CAP

he doesn´t make any helmets today

but CAP-W is the new owner of the molds

my ata helmet is the smallest of all

pitfon from france sells good buckets on ebay.

they´re well made

PT is offering 4 types of buckets with good quality

i´m very pleased with these helmets and they are in a realy nice pricerange

going to buy a MOT helmet

it´s the cheapest of all and his actual build is lookin very good

also i´ll try to get my hands on a DA helmet from UK

ok

the recast thing

but i´m a collector of different helmets from different makers

and all of them have their personal note on their helmets

i have other buckets too

but they aren´t in the pricerange for this topic

so i wouldn´t loose some words

Do you own an AP? Because ATA can't possibly be smaller then AP's (On some one my size it looks great) but it's tight.
