  1. Thank you Paul, I appreciate the clarification, I'm planning on getting a hyperfirm someday, but for now this is all I can afford. can wait to show ya'll it's looking good! doesn't even look like a hasbro anymore!
  2. So, can I get some feedback from the powers that be? I should have my tracks in either today, or tomorrow, and I'd like to know if I need to drill out more holes, and get to work back-filling the holes with a plate behind them, or if I'm ok with what I have. I'm willing to do the work, but it's going to really be a pain, and I would like to know if what I've got is acceptable, or if I need to re-work everything. Thanks guys.
  3. the problem I'm having is that there is no holes that low on the hasbro, there's only to rows of holes on each side. if I place the t-track as shown, all holes would be filled, and there'd be no holes under the mag side tracks. I took the electronics out, so lights are a non-issue. I guess what I'm asking, is if I'd still be able to be EIB if 1 of the tracks is not placed correctly.
  4. ok, sorry for the bad picture, but is this an acceptable placement for the t-tracks on the barrel? I ask because I know on the right side (if you're looking at it from the front) the lower track should be up more, but I wanted to show the vent holes on that side, so I was going to place the t-track a little lower. I'm down to placing the t-tracks when I get them, and then painting. will be posting pics and instructions on the build in my build thread soon.
  5. got a whole set on the way soon..... looks awesome!!
  6. cool, Joann's is within walking distance, actually just passed it going to Home Depot.
  7. so, I got my Hasbro blaster, and my resin parts came in the mail today. I did about the same things to mine on the dis-assembly. I'm not putting the electronics back in. What I've started doing, and it's a pain, but will be worth it in the end, is to grind off the t-tracks off the barel,I'll be putting more accurate t-tracks on later. Then filling all the screw holes and seams with modeling putty. There are several holes on the grips where the grid-work is, so I've started making a 'stamp' for the putty by using liquid latex to make a mold of the grip grid-work. I'll then stamp the wet putty with the grid-work to keep the looks consistent without blank holes in the grid-work. I'll get pics up when I'm further along, I'd only be making reproductions of what's already been posted, since I'm still in the dis-assembly phase.Hope it looks as good as yours by the end. BTW, Where do you get this e6000 glue I hear so much about? I was planning on using 2 part epoxy on mine. Please see this thread for starter pics, as they're almost identical to mine. --------- I don't have pics up yet, they'll be coming later today when I'm further along, and can take a break while it's drying or something. also, can someone post a good pic of where the t-tracks should go for EIB standard, the reference shot in the EIB page is missing. PICS BELOW!!!!
  8. um...dude, we dress up in plastic Star Wars costumes that we spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for....I don't know about you, but I don't care how I appear to outsiders. I for one like to think that he was left in the cargo hold, escaped when they got to Yavin, and is now living like those Japanese WWII guys they found in like the 60's still fighting the war off in the jungle.
  9. actually, the Corvette Leia was in was a Government transport, or at least a transport in use by a governmental official, as she was a senator, so by extension, I'd say all equipment onboard, including the droids, was in fact government property at the time of treason by the rebel sympathizer ie. Leia. Ergo, Imperial property.
  10. First off, Han and Luke WERE bad guys. they violated Imperial Law, resisted arrest, maintained possession of stolen Imperial property (namely the droids) and aided and abbetted a known Imperial Fugative (Obi Wan Kenobi) Let's not even get started on destruction of Imperial property, entering a no fly zone around Alderan's remains, helping a known rebel sympathizer escape an Imperial Detention center....it goes on.. and on....... I think anyone that'd shoot a defenseless Rodian under the table would have tossed them all out ASAP, but that's just my opinion.
  11. I'm at work, and I was just having a discussion with my co-workers. Wanted people's opinions. What ever happened to TK-421? I mean, TK-421, the other stormtrooper, and the scanning crew all got busted up by Chewie, I'm assuming dropped ino the cargo hold, and left there till Luke, Han, and the crew took off. What happened then? I mean they didn't have time to toss them back onto the flight deck as they were leaving, so what happened? Did they end up in Rebel hands? To be tortured mercilessly untill their deaths? Were they forgotten about until they got to the Rebel base, and then ran off, half naked into the forest? Where they remain today? Anyone have any ideas?

Glad to kick in, just doing my part.
  13. cool... (twiddles thumbs...patiently waiting....) Tom Petty said it best "the waaaating is the hardest part"
  14. I think it's from Hardware Wars, not Star Wars.

well, I work in tech support, so I'm at a computer ALL day. As ya'll can see, I'm on these boards constantly, so as I get more knowledge, I'll be sharing lots. Also, Paul, how do I donate? I don't see anywhere to donate to the site. NM, found it, Donation sent
  16. Another question, anyone know where to get t-rails for the e-11 other than Stompy? I don't think he's doing any anytome soon, and I'm working on my e-11. NM, I see Smitty has some, asking him.
  17. so for ATA, you'd say option B?
  18. Hey guys, I just wanted to take a minute and say Thank You. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You. For being here, Paul, and Mike, Terrell, Stomer, and anyone else with knowledge, the lot of you, on this message board, giving guidance, and information, and assisting newbies like me with our mundaine questions. You've saved me probably $1000 in mistakes, and headaches, and I've wanted to be better because of you. You've made me want to be a better Stormtrooper, and for that I say 1000 Thank you's.
  19. I'm planning my assembly, and I have a question. When assembling your legs and arms, did you follow option A, and have them interlocking? or option B, where there's glued together with an additional strip of plastic?
  20. cool, I was just interested in your opinion. everything looks good to me from pics I've seen, can't wait to get going on mine....
  21. TK-Recruit, hows the pieces look? I'm on the list and I just wanna get your impressions. Pics I've seen look excellent, but just want someone's opinion that's acctually got it in hand. Thanks.
  22. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I said to myself when I decided to do this that I was going to do it the best I can. I'm a pain in my own butt like that.
  23. yup, read that whole post like 5 times, that's how I got the idea. What I'm trying to avoid is the straps in between armor plates, which is why I was thinking of a strapping system kinda 'under' the undersuit, that has small slits cut in the undersuit to allow for the straps to connect to the armor plates. love your setup BTW, it's been inspiring!
