  1. I made this boot design in the early posts in this thead, Is very accurated to the GG Jess Gistang, if you are interested you can find my FB link down in my signature. Cheers Giovanni
  2. Aloha too Eric, its funny see you have now 1962 posts in your comment, 1962, my year birth, that has to be a good premonition, LOL!! I think I will keep the velcro portion as a "personnal mark" dedicated to my fellows troopies in my Gio´s boots. Thanks guys and gal for the nice comments, the minor details wil be corrected in the production, let me tell you that the more harder part in the design is to make the frontal piece, seamless and curved, here the process: First we have to create the curve, each size has a different one: You can see here both parts to be curved, the cow and the pig leather (pig inside cow outside of course, LOL): The machine that make the curved surface is called "cambriadora" use pneumatic and hight temperature to tense and heat the leather, we need to wait 30 or more minutes to reach the desired temperature before start to work. Excuse the orientation and the bad quality of the video and here the piece after get out of the machine Finished 7 test curves for every size, time to translate in cut dies for all the range size (the more expensive part) The cow leather has to be 1.8mm or more thicker to support high temperature and pressure on the forming machine, is a big single piece and as all genuine leather comes with marks, scratchs, and an specific tension surface direction, etc, for each portion used, a similar size portion is rejected cause deffects, that is the difference in costs between natural and faux leather. The left process of production can be viewed in the first posts of this thread, just I wanted to show you this very important part of the making of. Cheers Giovanni
  3. Yes, the grain texture leather was only for the test, I will make in flat leather , the velcro portion is sewed to a same size thick leather, so, you will can tight with tranquility the velcro to put inside your foot, basically I added the velcro portion to add an stormtrooper dedication, after all, the more upper section keeps under the armor and I wanted that hided portion must to be useful adding the velcro.
  4. OK, I am really really close, This was the previous design: And this is the stage I am now, here you will see some pics, is only a test, the leather I used its not flat, the elastic is not enough tick, reading posts in this forum I replaced the frontal loop with a little velcro tongue to be attached inside the calf armor, the next time I will show the final design. My goal is to sell in less than 100usd plus shipping, BTW, how long and wide would size the velcro in the upper little tongue must be?
  5. Are you looking for 6US male/7.5USwomen/38EU ? I made my beta ver 2.0 and will go from 36eu to 43eu, the next pic shows in not flat leather, is a test only. In the front will go a velcro section to fix in the calf armor instead the loop. -----------
  6. OK guys, we are redesigning the boots, all issues are easy to fix, I will upload this afternoon a new test design, I am sure next week all will be fixed. Thanks to Vern and Mathias by the images sources. Cheers Giovanni CT6244
  7. I wil can make from 5us male to 12us male. Any comment will help. Thanks for looking Giovanni CT6244
  8. Here is the chronic of the making of my TK beta version, there are some changes to do in the final run, first, I am waiting for the italian white elastic webbing, you will see in this project a sewed line in the elastic zone, I added a velcro portion sewed at leather to use it for sujection inside the calf armor, the interior is made with pork leather and out in cow leather. Here the pics: continue...
  9. Gals and Guys, Giovanni here again, first at all, sorry about to be out of this nice thread for a while, from my last post I had health issues, 2 surgeries, but I am now full operational, even I am a 501st member from Feb, my ID is CT6244, I can put all my efforts to help you in all I can. In the post 53 are my boots project, from then to now, I have more experience and some changes will have to do, the height has to be as the TK boots to be inside the calf armor, with a velcro portion sewed to attatchment, I want to make 2 new prototypes shoes using square and rounded toes, flat and rogged soles (I have now Jango molds soles) so, you will make the best choice. Another theme you are talking is the flex abdominal for women, may be I have the solution, latex may be hard to work and become yellow with time, I am doing right now the flex abd for Havoc stormtrooper, you can find pics about in CTN or in the 501st forum. Here links of some of my last jobs. http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showtopic=17086 http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showtopic=17066 I will upload the process of the Jes Gistang and squad boots here in the next days. I will start the fem abd too. Cheers Giovanni CT6244
  10. Is a Kimafun, I just want to keep attention in the specs and not in the brand, that is the reason.
  11. Looks like other amps, yes, but other amps haven´t memory readers built in, this is awesome because you dont ned to connect any AUX IN device, forget the iPod or your cellphone, I will record inside the TF card the Radio Chatter 501st files (CT and others), then I will choose the file with the remote control and put in LOOP mode (before you needed to record the same file once and again to build an hour or less duration file and connect that device in the AUX IN), simple press the loop, PLAY and the background is ready. The mic is cardiod and will avoid amplify the sounds coming from down, avoiding the feedbacks and the Reverberation function will create the echo sound added to your voice. I am planning the demo video and I will upload to utube and the link here. The best way to look the workable apps is in a video. Thanks for looking, soon more info. Giovanni
  12. Hi brotherhood, I was looking for so long time a perfect amp for trooping, finally an overseas provider sent me this sample, now is time to check the pros and cons; the strong points in this amp are: [*]15 watts sound [*]Built in rechargeable battery (for 20 hours continuosly use), charge in 4 hours [*]Play files from USB memories and Micro SD (TF card) [*]Reverberation function [*]Headset mic with super-cardioid directional mic to avoid howling Here some pics (I blurred the brand but is not AKER, is other brand) CONTINUE...
  13. Here some pics about the design stage: First marking on the last the design-------
  14. Gracias Joey!! I put the shoes and the armor together for this pic, I need to finish the soles, paint and final touchs. In the next post I will up the final result pics. Giovanni
  15. Here the pics of the upper section: Remember the boot that I used to model is an standard clone and is used for visual reference only. The latest new was the big quantity leather that "ate" the upper section, that is not problem because the final result pleased to me. a close up of the opened calf leather armor, I reinforced the interior to make them hard and used a thick foamy interior for comfort now 3 sides pics: The boots of the lower section are in the final stage, I will put together the boots and the calf leather armor may be tomorrow. TO BE CONTINUED...
  16. Quartermaster from CTN asked me the design and making of this, here the reference pic: The base shoe is the animated clone boot, but added a belt with velcro and a toe piece leather, I started with the cut leather patterns: And after the sew, the result: Checking on the last: Just for a final idea: Now, for the calf leather armor the leather belts: PART I
  17. Design stage finished, I will sew the leather tomorrow to upload the photos!! Giovanni
  18. Hi Joey, you can see my advances joining in here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_108653819216581 I am working right now a "legacy" boot here in FISD, I will start a thread soonely. Giovanni
  19. Hi Liz, I downloaded the reference pics for the boots, I will upload the design soonely. Keep in your effort, thanks Liz. Giovanni
  20. Ok, in this case, was a pleasence post with you!! :) Cheers Giovanni
  21. And here is the finished boot: here is the inner side, the disc strap will cover mostly zipper: without the strap it´s so easy put inside the foot: Here, you can image how will look inside the armor: The pic for reference: and my finished job: If your animated armor came with hard strap, you just will avoid my disc and the strap, the main will go with velcro. So, if you want a pair, I will put a run in the Sale forum tomorrow Monday, I am making the accounting issue to calculate the final price. Thanks by your comments. Giovanni CROW62
  22. Ohh Little Jenny, my mistake, sorry, I mean visual pleasure, thxs. Hi, yes, I´m making live style EP3 right now, you can see my work on the first pict in my first post, PM sent.
  23. the next pic is the beta version, I rejected because the zipper is so back and the height was not enough: And here with the unfinished shoe (This was the beta version) IT´S A PLEASURE TO ME ANNOUNCE THAT: THE FINAL DESIGN it is glued at the sole, I´ll wait the sunlight to make better photo takes tomorrow morning. I hope you enjoy the pics. Giovanni crow62
  24. I want to share my second project, the first was the live style clone boots EP 2 & 3, this project transform the virtual shoes to the real life, I hope you enjoy it: The lasts was the hard part, I had to wait christmas and new year to recieve the lasts (12 pairs from 8.5uk to 14uk Szs), here a comparition with the live version: The last for toon has to be square toe and really widht: I started with the partial impression taking: after both sideS, is turn to design the central detail: time to draw the future leather stencils (I could use the PC assitance but is more exciting the handy design): after cut and sew the leather pieces here the result: time to start forming the shoe, first the basement: after some steps, almost finished: One close up of the final stage work: Sole Time: I have to scale the visual references to achieve the visual pleasure: continue...
