Are you talking about the ribbed neck seal to cover your throat or the neck trim that runs around the bottom of the helmet? If the neck trim is fitted properly it shouldn't need to be removed every time the helmet comes off.

That is the Rubies costume. Unfortunately that's the official and licensed product. STAY AWAY! Members have successfully modified the suit to 501st standards, but I think all would agree it's not worth your time and money to do so. If you want a ROTJ-style suit look for CFO.
