I got this helmet as a kit and assembled and painted it to let it
look very accurate. The inside is painted black and has a liner in
it. Everything is handpainted with humbrol paint except the blue tube stripes.
Before the helmet was spraypainted with highgloss white and then with
a clear coat the ear spaces were filled. The mic tips are as accurate as they can get.
I painted this beauty with patience and with love to the detail. It
was not cheap to make.
I will throw extra bubble lenses in and a further set of mic tips.
SOLD!

that thing is a joke

I think it's a good idea to make them longer as the norwegian ones. Because they were longer in the movies.

If you cut from the inside you can't get sure to meet the outsides groove directly. It is easier to work precisely from the outside! Also the blade slips easier on the insides bump.

....The grey seemed rather thin and watery today maybe it was the high heat i dont know.....
That's a thing I don't like on the humbrol paints also. They are very thin and not caused by the heat. If painting the details two times because it doesn't cover well wait at least 4 hours. Otherwise the paint tears up. I saw it on a helmet recently so it might be worth to mention.

can it be used with a walkie talkie headset inside the helmet? I don't know that system but I am looking for a headset without seperate pieces out of the helmet and to use like a walkie talkie. It also has to fit in a small helmet ( screen accurate size ). I don't want to push a button when speaking!

how about a chrome gold bucket ?

there is blue in the grey in my opinion because the ears don't show the blue while the decals does on the same light. In some pictures you can't see the blue because it is very very less and the light not the right
I just want to help as well and please be cool and take it as my opinion Armando. I am just always direct!

that is different because the sky was blue and is mirroring in the krylon glaze.

I made some tests with Humbrol midnight blue and humbrol grey 5. Also to not get it too dark then I added white. I made pictures but the light is so bad here and the colour wasn't fully dry. If I find the right light I post em

no. 5 ! I wonder why the most want the tears and trapez lighter than the ears. 5 is the right way because it has a slight visible blue in it and matches the lightlevel of the ears more.
On this experimet pictures even the humbrol looks way darker as the ear colour on the screen helmets. I think if the light would be brighter the blueish no. 5 comes out lighter also. I have a good feeling it would match
-
it is not easy to say because it depends on the light that is always different. I would try to match the grey from the original to the grey on the humbrol painted ears. And this with a very similar light. Then comparing the blue decals in the same light with the original. There is a very overbright piture of an esb on Jez site. That might be a good picture for comparison if you put a bright spot ( white light ) on your helmet with the current decals.
