    Hi Georgia :salute:

We apologize for the delay in reviewing your Centurion application, but unfortunately we cannot proceed and get that Centurion badge under your name until all the L3 requirements are met.  Please post up the updated photos and we will get right on it!

These are the things (as listed in your E.I. review) that need to be corrected so that we can move along....

    1.  The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. Also, drop boxes should be vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.

                                                                                                                                                                                        Reference images

     58a67XS.png            4GuP9LA.png                               gNocrxt.png   ysP3Qmm.png

    2.  The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels.

                                                                                                                                                 Reference images

    jJMGFFB.png?1                         Q2X9NlL.jpg     xxczAhe.jpg

    3. The back was overlapping your kidney quite a bit, so it looks like you have lowered the kidney.  This has caused the back plate to go too low, covering the upper thighs. The bottom of the back needs to be trimmed (no return edge, like Luke's,). Thus, the back plate can be raised a little and everything will return to its correct place.

E.I. app                           Centurion app                                                                                                                 Reference image                       No return edge(Luke´s)

    4.  In your E.I. app the cover strips on the thighs were perfect.  However, in the new app the right one is facing to the side. We need new photos where the cover strip is correctly positioned...

    5. We also need you to include an updated close-up photo of the of the ab/kidney connection (no belt, and without overlapping ). Something like this...

    xW5eSAC.jpg

That's all Georgia...We know it's a little extra work, but we're confident that you'll be able to make all these fixes, and thus get the Centurion badge under your name.:jc_doublethumbup:

Thank you! I will do my best to carry out these adjustments

Hi Georgia, and thank you for your EIB application!

    CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry.  Congratulations!  :salute:

    Other-Armor Fit/Assembly;

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions.

First of all Georgia, let me tell you that your armor looks great. Congratulations!!!:th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

-Starting from the top, ideally , the ear screws should go aligned with the rear edge of the Traps. It is mentioned just for your consideration as it is a more elaborate setting.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Reference images

    9MSmuxh.jpg   tc596o0.jpg                                    qdZeHpP.jpg   8xlWFlJ.jpg

    - The brow trim, should be a bit shorter. It's very, very, very little, but this way, maybe you won't see those "ridges" from behind the helmet (do it little by little so as not to cut too much).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Reference images

    KyiSSUO.jpg   rgrDMms.jpg   FQUS5DV.jpg                       S2hRJjN.jpg?1     2hTGbQy.jpg?1

-For Basic level  Mesh may be used behind the frown to obscure the face of the wearer.

Something that characterizes us(Stormtroopers) is that we are anonymous.  Children(and "not-so-children" :laugh1:) in Trooping see their characters with emotion and do not imagine that within that armor there is a fanatic like them. For this reason, we try, by adding a mesh behind the "teeth" of the helmet, to prevent our face from being seen through the holes in them. We are suggesting to add the mesh to your helmet.;)

                                                                                                                                                                                           Reference image

    FQV3hsT.jpg                       28gJUIZ.png

-Just a simple strapping issue here. It looks like your left bicep is riding a bit higher than the right one.  Raising(the right) a bit, would make a big difference in the overall look.

                                                                                                                                                                        Reference image

    O5iOLMa.jpg            8FTYABn.jpg

    - Ideally the ab and kidney should sit flush with no gap, but also no overlap. It looks like a simple dressing issue too. Maybe the belt is too tight. Put everything in its correct position first, and then tighten the belt...I'm sure it will hold everything in its correct position.:jc_doublethumbup:

                                                                                                                                                                                                 Reference images

    ZZuGRPr.jpg   HPOI6J7.jpg    w3SdAw9.jpg   AODCIyV.jpg

-Your thighs seem to overlap a bit(cod). To avoid this, and also avoid some armor "bites", you can trim the top a bit, or perhaps lower them.  This would also help keep your sniper knee plate (below) from riding underneath.

                                                                                                                                             Reference images

    NO6ZC7v.jpg                                      UQbghNn.jpg    UDSyiIo.jpg

-Your Sniper plate is sitting a bit under the thigh, maybe you could place  some foam to push it forward (maybe, after lowering the thighs (previous point), it is not necessary).;)

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

    aafZA1B.jpg                                                 dQjEudb.jpg?1    0SKBs05.png

-The angle on the top of the sniper knee plate.  It's close, but for a better look we are recommending that you trim it down (to closer match the reference images).

                                                                                                                                                                                         Reference images

    jlwEN5J.jpg   uCHWGnA.jpg                         MZFx9IW.png    K7ttS5Z.jpg

                                                                                            ***************************************************

    Centurion Requirements;

In this section we prepare you for Centurion.  Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

L-3: Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate.  We have a challenging issue here but we have confidence that you can do it Georgia:jc_doublethumbup:!!!.

We know that you are only 5 feet 3 inches tall, but your back plate is riding too far over the kidney plate. In this case, some adjustments have to be made, including trimming the lower part of the back plate (here, at FISD, you can find all the help you need).

As seen in the reference images, Luke's back plate had to be trimmed because as we all know he was "A little short for a Stormtrooper" and had no return edge in the back (or on the front of the chest) so it could be trimmed and still reach L3.  (Note that there were no screws on the bottom of his back plate).

    CiaA1wJ.jpg      opvNUsI.jpg

    gtEVWjH.jpg?1      n7wF4Ss.jpg?1      IJGNAaf.jpg?1

-Your Han snap is positioned farther away from the corner than the reference images.  You will need to drill out the snap, reposition it, and fill the old hole.

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

    oBD7FvX.jpg                                            GrJ3mhS.png    4Le4CZc.png

-Kidney rivets are too far from the edge and will have to be moved closer to the return edge, as seen in the reference image. After moving them, you can fill the holes with ABS paste and then sand/polish them.  Believe me, seems more difficult than it really is...;)

                                                                                                    Reference image

    cXlOZGr.jpg                                              d4D10Ww.jpg

L3- Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.

The outside front edge of the drop box should line up with the end of the ABS belt. Moving them outward and applying a little E-6000 (or similar) to the back of the strap can prevent them from moving.

    Enl5YXc.jpg      vOiwOFP.jpg      VbjU2MC.jpg

                                               Reference images

    ysP3Qmm.png    cvtXId2.jpg

L3- The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that meets the outer edge of the cloth beltThe left side seems to need just a little trimming to be ok...The right side is perfect!!!:duim:

                                                                                                                                                                                                         Reference images

    zrIKkc8.jpg   GxmQgmx.jpg                     MS8w2fB.png   BywjlxQ.png

L3- The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panelsIt would be necessary to raise your AB belt a bit. One popular fix to this is to add a piece of Velcro to the belt and AB plate to keep it in place.(Very easy fix, Georgia ;))

                                                                                                                                                                                                     Reference images

    pH5F6o1.jpg               Q2X9NlL.jpg   xxczAhe.jpg

And that's all Georgia. You have a great armor, and we have complete faith that you can address all the issues. I look forward to seeing your submission for Centurion!!!  :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

Thank you all so much! This is super helpful for Lvl3, I will get to work :)

  5. Kia Ora!

My name is Georgia Haywood and I became a member of the 501st legion this morning!

I have waited many years for this day. Ever since I was young I wanted to be apart of the 501st Legion, and when I was old enough to join that was my goal.

Well now at 18 years old, I finally am.

I ordered my RS Prop masters TK ANH STUNT Commission all the way back in Jan and after many months, it arrived last week.

Its been a long journey and my biggest dream, I can not wait for the many troops, memories and friends I make along the way.

Its surreal that I am an actual Stormtrooper, the ones I looked up to for all those years!

I might be one of the youngest and shortest troopers out there (at 5'3) but I have one of the biggest hearts.

  6. Kia Ora everyone all the way from New Zealand!  Big Grin

I have some very exciting news,

Yesterday, I made the decision to order a fully commissioned stormtrooper (Stunt ABS ANH) from RS Propmasters. I am so excited and thrilled to finally own Stormtrooper armour, it has been a dream of mine for many years and I am so pleased.

I met up with Kevin, Mark, Stuart, Cody and Damien from Outpost 42 of the New Zealand garrison recently at a troop (Funfest 2021) in Auckland, where I was invited  to wrangle for them for the whole day as well as being their photographer. Ever since I was young, I would see the garrison at local events and I would dream about joining their ranks. Being able to meet them, talk about our love of star wars and being able to witness firsthand what it was like to be a member of the 501st was such an amazing experience that I will never forget. I finally knew after all of these years for certain that, from that moment on, this was where my heart was.

As of right now, I am waiting for the order status to change from processing but I have to remind myself that patience is key (and its the middle of the night in England too). I placed the order on the 17th of Jan, and the commission should take around 6-8 weeks to be complete.

I am so thrilled that I will very soon be a Stormtrooper, and finally be able to troop with a community that shares the same values and interests as me. Even though I won't be an "official" 501st member until my 18th birthday on the last day of April, I will still be able to give back to the community with the garrison. Ive now gotta think up an ID in advance, and start getting together some fans, a voice amp and a container too!

Please feel free to give me any tips!!!

  7. Kia Ora everyone all the way from Auckland, New Zealand.

My name is Georgia, and I am a huge Star Wars fan and have a soft spot for Stormtroopers. I have always wanted to join the 501st legion for as long as I can remember, and meeting/seeing troopers part of Outpost 42 (in New Zealand) at events over the years had always inspired me. With the new year starting, I want to make my dream become reality.

I am planning to order a fully commissioned Stormtrooper ANH Stunt ABS from RS Prop Masters at the end of April when I turn 18, and join the 501st legion with the Outpost 42 Garrison. I am also starting my first year at University at Media Design School in a Bachelor of Animation and VFX. I love doing charity events and enjoy giving back to the community. I am very excited to begin this new chapter, I have done months of research and have started saving up so when April arrives I can order right away.

Please give me any advice or tips and If there are any members of Outpost 42 here, please tell me about what it’s like being in the community and your favourite memories.

    tēnā koutou!

    -Georgia
