  1. Greetings fellow troopers!  I'm Andy from Westchester IL (just outside of Chicago) and now also a proud new TK member of the 501st - something I've wanted to become for many many years - as well as a member of the Midwest Garrison.  I'm definitely looking forward to trooping and joining my fellow Legion and FISD members in the future.  Cheers all!

  2. Thanks Guys.  I appreciate the feedback.  I'm gonna read up on the whole shim topic and see what I need to do and how.   At least from this initial feedback that seems to be the biggest area ....  If you think of anything else, let me know.  Just out of curiosity - after I work that out and it comes time to resubmit, do I start a new thread?  Or just add to this one?  Thanks again ...

Hi - I've just recently been approved (last week) to the 501st.  My local garrison suggested I submit my approval photos here when I mentioned I was interested in getting to Centurion level.  So here goes.  At the very least I hope to get advice on needed changes since this is still somewhat new to me.  Thanks.

  4. Hi,

I'm having some trouble inserting photos for my EIB request.  I've got them down to the appropriate resolution - I've even tried lower resolution -  but after I get several inserted (about 11), I start getting an error that I can only upload 2MB.  Any thoughts on what I need to do to make them smaller so I can get all 20 or so inserted?  Or is there a different process to use (I've just been dragging and dropping)?  I tried accessing the tutorial link about posting photos but it came back with an error that the page doesn't exist.  Thanks.

  5. Greetings all - just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi.  My name is Andy and while I'm not a member of the 501st yet - I will be.  How's that for confidence!  Doing so has been a goal of mine for many many years.  Now I finally have an opportunity to act on it.  I looking at the ANH Hero and have been having a chat with TM.  Given my height - around 5'6" - 5'6.5" -  he's suggested perhaps going for the "Luke" version.  I think that makes sense but any thoughts?  If I go that route, are there things I should be aware of with regard to submitting eventually for 501st approval.  I've been scouring the threads and haven't really found anything - but there's a lot of material.  BTW, if I should have posted those questions somewhere else, just point me there.  Thanks much - it's pretty exciting - even for an older guy like me.  Cheers!
