Thank you very, very, very much for correcting the requirements for Centurion, and correcting the suggestions as well. :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

    Just a couple of things...

    - Something that we did not see in your EIB application, and that we have been able to see in another application, is that you are using a hearing assist system, but we can see the white ABS inside the holes. We recommend exactly the same "We suggest using a black Sharpie marker or a few dabs of black paint with a tiny brush on the inside of these so that they are not so noticeable.  If you are no longer using the system, we ask that you fill in the holes and hit the bar with another coat of paint."

The lower screw in both ears are at an angle and should be flush.

And that's all Michael. You can now proudly wear the Centurion badge under your name. :jc_doublethumbup:

    Congratulations!!!

  3. Hi Matt, and thank you for your EIB application!

    CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

First of all, Matt,  thank you for the work you've done to improve your armor. Very good job!:th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

Ok, let's start with the helmet.

-L3.:Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them.

As we have explained in other occasions, we will only require it for Centurion, when the helmet looks "weird", which is not your case.:duim:

                                                                                                                                                                   Reference images

    VhukGMy.jpg   HcSRTTJ.jpg                         qdZeHpP.jpg   v83UxcF.png

-To be more screen accurate, you can trim the brow a little bit (take care not to cut too much).:jc_doublethumbup:

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

    fVgZOPF.jpg   3AeVyPX.jpg                               P3XfbwR.png   8xlWFlJ.jpg

-The helmet seems to be too high. Maybe you can remove some padding, and then the helmet will sit a little lower. :smiley-sw013:

    047EJ9o.jpg                                   EJ8r9LS.png

-You can lower your forearms a little, that they almost touch the handguards.

    89o4Pzv.jpg            n938OSK.png   SLDVQr5.png

-A simple dressing issue here. The undersuit seems to bunch up a bit in this area.  Maybe a size down can help you with this:dancing-trooper:.

                                                                                                                               Reference images

    1sdXrat.jpg         tZUuh7f.png   z07CFOP.png

-Also, make sure that the TD is in position. It's a small detail that makes your armor look awesome.

                                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

    sJoARZH.jpg                                   a2SpIZk.png   XNKo9SE.png

-For more accuracy, you can trim  the small ab button panel.:Stormtrooper_walk_south:

-Another dressing issue;). It looks like you forgot to connect the strap that connects the cod area to the posterior armor. It's another small detail that makes the armor look stunning.

                                                                                                                                  Reference images

    lYjMmlz.jpg                               3o9FaEL.jpg   ZARwLq2.jpg

-The raised ridges of the calves must be aligned. Symmetry and placement can improve the armor incredibly, believe us:lol:

                                                                                                                     Reference images

    - You can lower this area a little too, so it doesn't look like you washed the armor in the washing machine with hot water (just kidding:laugh1:). But seriously, you'll avoid that long-legged Trooper look:jc_doublethumbup:.

                                                                                                                                                        Reference images

    Centurion Requirements:

In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval.  Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

-It is curious:blink:. This is the second time we have seen this in a very short time. It appears that the tube stripes on the right side, are too far away from the cheek in the area next to the ear.

The CRL states: "... the tube stripes are positioned approximately a pencil width from the side of the cheek.". It will be necessary to move the tube stripes to their correct position.

As always, and we know it happens sometimes, if it is an optical effect of the photo, let us know!:jc_doublethumbup:

                                                                                                                                                               Reference images

    BlGdFXf.jpg                             T72j0KT.jpg   QeKQYWx.jpg

-L3. Neck trim shall be of an s-type profile rather than a u-type profile.

We add it here, as we do not have a photo showing this area. Something like this:

    xPSWwc2.png     pZR9CoY.jpg

-L3. Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor.

It's very little, and we're sure it will be easy to fix. A little tightening of the belt will probably be enough.:tkreal:

                                                                                                                                                        Reference images

    9APNlHo.jpg                             4Le4CZc.png   U6bpo5U.png   9uJkFTh.png

-As Joseph rightly points out in your application,  Ideally, it should sit a bit lower and more toward the rear.

By following Joseph's instructions, you will solve the problem quickly and easily:

"The process involves removing 3 screws- the first being the one that holds the scope rail on at the rear.  After you remove the rail, you will be able to access the plate on the rail that the Hengstler mounts to. Just remove the screws, reposition it, drill a couple of new holes and re-attach the screws."

                                                                                                                                                                         Reference images

    p7DpwFl.jpg         vo2rsVR.jpg    Bfm4KOQ.jpg    B1ZBxTu.png

-Indeed, the missing spring is a problem. We know it's complicated, but your blaster will look much more realistic with the spring. At the end, it's Centurion level and all this kind of details are necessary.

                                                                                                                                                           Reference image

Nothing more to add, , Matt. Congratulations !!!   :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

  4. Hi Matt. We need to ask you for a couple of fixes while we continue with your request. The first is very common. It is an easy fix. It looks more complicated than it is. We need you to remove the excess paint from the gums.  As we always recommend, you can achieve this with a little mineral spirits and a toothpick.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                Reference image

    vHA0oPQ.jpg                                 wyASlBD.jpg

The other fix, are the soles of your boots. The CRL states:

L1.- Flat sole with a short heel. We are aware of the dangers of a completely flat sole, but you could use the dremel, or take the boots to a "cobbler" (I think that's what it's called;)), to smooth  the edges, so that the soles look totally flat.

    6Lh3J2C.jpg

Regarding the photos, they are fine. Although for your Centurion application (which we are sure you will apply for :jc_doublethumbup:), you will have to publish all the photos with the fixes made.

Wow, didn't notice that. Thanks. Should I retake that picture for submission?

Hi Matt. Yes please, you better retake the photo. :duim:

Regarding the painting of the vocoder, maybe you can touch up the new lines a little bit, (more sharper lines;)).

As we continue with your review, could you add these photos?:

-Photo of the helmet (more from the front) where we can see the paint on the teeth.

-Left thigh ammo pack rivet close up (inside)

-Right thigh ammo pack rivet close up (inside)

    -Boots (side picture)

In addition, the blaster, in the photos, looks brown.... It's probably due to the lighting when you took the photos.  If it's not too much trouble, could you post others where we can see the black color well?

    Thanks Matt!:salute:

Oh, my oh my.... to see an original set of armor like this up close literally sends shivers through me.  I will be making more than a few screen caps of this for reference images, and I believe mi hermanos @TKSpartan and @Chemi will be doing the same.

    Tack sa mycket, Daniel!

In fact, I'm going to start requesting that the sniper's knee be on the right thigh.:laugh1:

  7. Hi Michael, and thank you for your EIB application!

    CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry.  Congratulations!  :salute:

    Other-Armor Fit/Assembly;

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team.  Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that  we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions.

Well, first of all, thank you for the work you've done to improve your armor.:th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

As usual, let's start with the helmet.;)

-L3.:Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them.

This is a very common issue that we always add as a suggestion, as it will only be a "L3 requirement" when the helmet looks "weird" or "ugly".In your case, both ears are very close to their ideal position.:duim:

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

-Maybe it's the position of your head for the pic, but we can see too much of the inside of your helmet. If not, you may be able to remove some padding so that the helmet covers part of that gap.:)

-The same applies to your thighs. I recommend you to raise your right thigh and you will avoid the problem with the drop boxes that we include in the next point.

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

L3.: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates.

We think you can trim the shoulder strap a bit, so your armor will look great...:th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

                                                                                                                                                                                             Reference images

-It is very, very little, but you can move the belt, so that its position is 100x100 screen accurate.

L3.: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels.

                                                                                                                                                                     Reference images

L3.:Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.

You can prevent them from moving with a drop of glue on the inside of the nylon strap (between the nylon strap and the canvas belt), or by moving a little the screw you have to hold them in place.

                                                                                                                                                              Reference images

-And last but not least :D, there is some gap between the kidney armor and the abdomen. In some photos it appears to be OK, but in others it does not.  You can probably fix it easily by tightening the belt a little. :peace:

                                                                                                                                Reference images

-Your posterior armor is not aligned with the kidney armor. We recommend that you use the famous V tabs to align them perfectly (with a heat gun or something similar you bend ABS plastic strips into a V shape. You only glue one side and the other side is free to allow movement).:salute:
