  1. Awesome build thus far! It looks very clean and thought out. If you have any elastic left at the end ( and a few extra split rivets ) I'd personally redo the abdomen - kidney strapping. It's short! Might very well be more of an aesthetic decision than one concerning structural integrity ( especially after you're in kit and with your belt on ) but that's just me. You're doing a great job. Keep it up!
  2. You've totally got this Diana. I have faith in you! You've received excellent and priceless feedback from Mario and Jospeh - All changes I know you can make. Everyone is this community is rooting for you and wants you to succeed. I'm looking forward to your EIB!

  5. All Georgia Garrison activities have been cancelled or postponed, dates TBD. We’re currently on a 30 day lock down as pretty much everything in the state has come to a stand still. I’m focusing on other projects, including a TD build while I’ll be taking this necessary break in light of the current situation. I hope to get back out there soon; when it’s safe for everyone that we resume operations. Until then, PLEASE BE SAFE everyone. Be responsible and exercise caution. Take care of yourselves.
  6. Yes! - I did it. It was a lot of hard work and attention to detail to get here but totally worth it. I'm ecstatic to join your ranks as an FISD Centurion and to represent my Georgia Garrison as it's newest L3. I could not have done it without you. This forum has been an invaluable resource to me and I relied heavily on the tutorials, advice and feedback posted by members of our detachment. As a new member I read as many forum posts as I could by members who had achieved the rank of EIB and then as EIB I read all I could from members who were Centurion. Every question I had, every concern / issue or obstacle had been experienced before by everyone before me. If you all had not taken the time to document it or to put together Tutorials and PDF's for others benefit I might not have gotten here as quickly as I did. So... I'd like to say Thank You ( to everyone ) for your guidance, support and encouragement. You are all certainly an inspiration to me. Troopers Helping Troopers
  7. Updated images as promised, after completing required changes based on your feedback: > Full Body - Post Changes > Helmet Details - Post Changes > Action Shot - Post Changes
  8. Ah! I see that now as well. The drop boxes angled in somehow while I was running back and forth between the backdrop and my camera. I should have noticed it when I was uploading the images to my application. I’m always good about checking their alignment when I kit up. They really shouldn’t move. They’re on a loop the goes around the belt and once attached to my ab, the loop can’t move left or right due to the hardware which in turn keeps them where they should be. Either way, I’m glad to fix it even if it means gluing it down so that it doesn’t happen again. I’ll complete the changes to the drop boxes and my helmet after work this evening. I’ll have updated photographs posted in the morning for your review - to show the work is complete. Thank you sir for your feedback and for keeping me in check! Please standby.

  10. Thank you! ( Everyone ) I greatly appreciate the compliments and your feedback. I’m currently working on my Centurion application. I’ve got a few updates that I’ve been working on, construction modifications to make that were requested in my EIB review and a few small repairs to make ( from holiday trooping damage ) I’m trying to get it all put together well and as quickly as I can. I hope to have more photographs to share with everyone soon.
  11. Parenthood is a gift and a blessing. It’s also an incredibly humbling experience that is not often discussed, especially by men ( which is unfortunate ) It is truly a privilege and honor to be a loving Father to my two beautiful and extraordinary little girls. The joy they bring me is unparalleled, as is the way they have forever changed me. The moment you lay your eyes on your child at birth and hold them in your arms you sense a change. Your DNA, your state of mind, sense of responsibility, how you process emotions and how you react to them ( physically or emotionally ) has changed in an instance. It’s profound. Some may simply say that parenthood made them “soft” but it’s more than that, and I believe it’s for the better. I openly admit that my little angels have made me more sensitive and much more emotional. Good News, Bad News.... it really doesn’t matter. Through empathy I suppose, I transpose and associate everything with myself. If I can’t relate, I image going through it myself and consider what I might feel like if it were me and my family. The result; overwhelming emotion and waterworks. Yes, WATERWORKS. If you have children you know exactly what I’m taking about - whether you admit it or not. I took my daughters to see Frozen ( both 1 and 2 on separate occasions ) and yup.... I cried. Today, for Christmas, I took my Dad to see Star Wars Rise of Skywalker... and you guessed it, I cried. At the end.... yup, I cried EVEN MORE. I wish I was wearing my bucket. It’s too funny! But I love it. Merry Christmas everyone! It’s been a pleasure being a part of this community, having you all as friends, getting to know you better and trooping alongside you. Enjoy the holiday; regardless of what you do or do not believe in, whatever your faith is or is not, our differences make us stronger and we are united by a common purpose... giving back to our communities through costuming and selfless charity. Bad Guys, Doing Good. I hope 2020 brings all of you and your family good fortune. Respectfully, TK-41808

  13. FISD Deployment Officers & Command Staff, It is with extreme gratitude, that I thank you for taking the time to review my submission and grant me ANH Stunt Expert Infantry status. I am humbled and appreciative for all your feedback, advice and support - which I will act on as I make necessary preparations for my Centurion status application. Your observations and assessments are detailed and incredibly helpful - which I know took some time to do and put together, so Thank You. I sincerely appreciate your support! This bit of good news will certainly make for a great weekend! Cheers everyone
  14. Thank you all for your feedback thus far. I'm busy preparing for two troops this afternoon; I'll need to clean up my kit and set the lights / backdrop back up - but I'll get these photographs taken and posted for you as soon as I can. Have a great weekend everyone. Cheers.

  16. Installing fans in your helmet is widely accepted; for trooping it's practically a necessity, though I'm sure not everyone uses them. Either way, having them doesn't appear to get in the way of Basic Legion Approval..., nor Expert Infantry or Centurion classifications within FISD. What about other electronic modifications to your Helmet or your Blaster? I was greatly influenced by what others on this forum accomplished while building my kit. As a result I installed fans, a microphone and hearing assist in the bucket I troop with - and I love it. But will it get in the way of achieving Expert Infantry or Centurion? Do they need to be removed or is it acceptable ( provided it doesn't alter the visible appearance of your armor / meeting the qualification criteria and it being canon ). What's the protocol when Trooping and Volunteering for Children's Charity Events? When can you / and when should you not use your mic / aux speakers etc. ( especially if you have background loops / FX ) Same question goes for your Blaster, in this case my E-11. I always understood that you shouldn't use light or sound when trooping - That those extras are better kept for Conventions and not Legion Events. So like my bucket, I have two. One for Trooping and one for Special Events / Con and certain events with children. Is that correct? Whats the protocol? I know this topic has been puzzling for many so I thought I'd discuss it here since your answers would be beneficial for us all. Thanks in advance for your input.
  17. ukswrath - If you are able to personalize the plexiglass / make a replacement please let me know! I'd like to get one from you if I may. They would look great in everyones kit.
  18. Click on the image above a few times and it'll continually up res to a much larger full size preview that's a decent resolution Cheers!
  19. Here you go! I can change any of the colors or make you other versions if you'd like. I gave you a few iterations to choose from or to help you decide on what direction you like best. I can email you a full res file and print ready PDF to use.
  20. I've been working on this for you, but am making it high resolution - Drawn in Illustrator ( vector / print and camera ready artwork ) I can make you different color options if you'd like. The colors are very easily changed natively. Side note: Do you want a literal copy of this or just one that looks like it? Reason I'm asking is that I've recreated the existing Connecticut Masonic Scouter Association logo but I wanted to make it better and more detailed instead. Are you open to having your own design instead of a copy?
  21. I’d be happy to help you out with that. I can get to it later this evening, after work. Will that timing work for you?
  22. TK-41808 Reporting For Duty : I'm very excited to join the ranks of the 501st Legion / Georgia Garrison / Terminus Squad and FISD. I'm thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community and am looking forward to trooping with you.
