Got the FOTK audio system installed. Put in the speakers, mic, and amp. I stripped back the liner and installed per directions, although I added some dabs of hot glue to secure things. I really want to strip the liner out and add some heavier padding for sound, although not really needed that badly. Uswrath’s has a really awesome system and it goes along great with the MiCom sound rig I picked up. The push button pre-recorded lines coming directly from the helmet are super cool. And I really like having the ability to talk using my own voice if needed. I also played around with the hearing assist setup.. man what a difference! You can hear everything around you and it’s stereo so it’s very easy to tell where things are coming from. With the 4 fans running it’s a bit hard to hear without anything installed. But with this system you can pick up the smallest sounds and the external speakers don’t seem much louder than what you hear without the headphones in. I would like to find some sort of noise cancelling headphones that’ll fit in the bucket. Then maybe I won’t have to pad the bucket any more than it is. Sent from my iPhone using The Force

Yeah that one partially complete kit I was looking at was an older KB.. looked a bit silly once assembled. The butt plate and the chest/back looked huge. Seems they’ve adjusted the proportions quite a bit. So yeah, looks like I’ll actually have an armor build thread instead of just a blaster build thread lol The rest of my helmet electronics from Ukswrath come in tomorrow. I got pretty much everything he sells for the FOTK bucket. I already installed the 4 fan kit and found a couple of usb battery packs with led meters (a feature I like so you can tell at a glance how much juice is left). So after searching around and doing some more research.. even considered some partially built armor kits.. I decided to hit up KB Props about getting in on his next run. I wasn’t sure if KB was the way to go considering how large some of his pieces were but I think he’s made some changes to the forms to call for less modifications out of the box. However, surprisingly enough, he’s allowing me to jump in on the current run which delivers a week before Christmas! I assume he has more ABS material than he needs, so I’m grateful to have been allowed in on a closed run. In any event, I’ve got a BBB coming! Sent from my iPhone using The Force

It’s pretty dampening in terms of sound. Definitely no echoing.. but it’s also a little difficult to hear. More so with two of the fans from your kit running and even more with all four. I will need to probably add more padding or support inside. The provided pads are barely enough to wear it as is. I know that’ll change once I add all the electronics. Even so, that’ll just add to the sound dampening. Hence the reason I picked up the hearing assist kit (along with almost everything else you offer) for the bucket. Appreciate the quick response and super fast shipping. Definitely hard to see out of. I’m guessing you get used to it, but it’s a little blurry where the lenses are curved in certain spots which distorts your field of vision a bit. Sent from my iPhone using The Force

So I’m having trouble tracking down which pauldron style the FOTK uses. I’ve checked some other discussions when I search but a lot of the threads are gone. I see the regular one, like the basic black vacuum formed one that has what looks like vinyl on it. And then there’s the sweet looking leather style that’s plush and stitched. Which is it? Yup! I’ve got a few things to keep me occupied until the blasters arrive in maybe January. Still need to order my stuff through Geeky Pink. She hasn’t replied since I messaged her, I’m guessing she’s pretty busy. I finally found her page concerning her items. Aside from that I’m looking at the pouches at Trooperbay. Waiting to hear back from Dan to see if I can get on the metal holster run. I think it’s full and everyone has paid up. What else can I do? I suppose I can get paint and supplies for the blasters.. I got my 4 fan setup from UKswrath.. looks great! I love the details he added to the bracket. Too bad FedEx is playing games with my helmet. Delivery was supposed to be Monday. Then 8pm came and it changed to Pending and saw it arrived back at the facility. Then expected Tuesday. Same thing, changed to pending but stayed on the truck I assume because it never arrived back at the facility (even after a CSR said it was to be delivered). Today, after I called again, the CSR said they would open a report and someone would call. After the call, the notification again says ‘out for delivery’. Edit: Just received a call from the local FedEx office, says he doesn’t know why the driver has had it for 3 days but he’s going to call and get it resolved. I swear FedEx’s delivery notification system is seriously flawed. I’m under the impression from what I’ve read that regular ground shipments get tossed aside in lieu of priority packages. I mean, it’s a huge ANOVOS helmet box, you think they’d want it off the truck.. so we’ll see if the bucket arrives today so I can install the fans and run around the house with my helmet and gloves on, lol Anyway, in other news, supposed to meet up with a couple of local Mountain Garrison members soon to help do work on his armor so I can learn some things. So, I took JAFO’s suggestion and checked out 3-D Props. Comparing his stuff to everyone else’s it seems he has some great pieces, good reviews, and was quick to respond to my questions. I went with both pistol and rifle kits. The rifle I ordered along with the BlastFX kit and the M300 light. Everything with shipping came up to $676.08 So expect lots of questions once it arrives In other news, my bucket arrives today! The 3D Props guy has some amazing stuff! So cool what you can do with printers these days. Especially now that metal 3d printers are a thing. So I’m leaning towards his pistol and rifle. The pistol kit is $138 (not including shipping). Before I order the rifle, is it worth adding on the LEDs and Blast FX kits he offers with the rifle? The blaster alone is $221 Blaster plus LEDs $254 Blaster plus LEDs and BlastFX is $421 In regards to the pistol, how does it connect to the leg holster? I see some have a metal plate with two pins. Is this a separate piece I need to get from somewhere?

Hey guys! As I stated in my introductory post, I’m new here from Arvada, Colorado. I’m a long time Star Wars fan and have always wanted it to play a bigger part in my life. Now that I’m older and financially able to throw around some money on big boy toys, I’ve decided to make one of those toys a full on armor kit. Looking to build a Centurion Level TLJ FOTK Officer. The image below is what made me choose this character (I’m aware the image is from TFA). I did however jump the gun (before reading all the posts) and ordered armor directly from Anovos. I have since read the posts and I understand the possible sticky position I’ve gotten myself into but I’m also prepared to give another armory an order and sell this one if Anovos takes too long delivering. After a bit of recent research and digging through other builds, I’ve started to collect a few things. Keep in mind I usually go all out when I decide to do some sort of project. So yes, some things might not be necessary, but hey, why not? Yeah.. shame on me for not doing the proper research. I at least have a helmet coming Friday, found a lined standard ANOVOS FOTK TLJ version from a private individual on eBay. I suppose I’ll just start on some helmet mods and start collecting soft goods. Worst case I’ll just buy the armor elsewhere to have something to build and sell the ANOVOS kit if/when it comes in. So terrible to hear you guys have been waiting for so long.
