Awesome!  I’ll make sure to make marks with a pencil before proceeding.  When it comes to trimming the back of the thigh near the but should I do that same thing?

into the thread explains that section too.  good luck,

PD. If you want you can post the photos prior to trim to be sure it's ok.   :salute:

Just wondering if other troopers on the shorter side who have the RS kit had issues with bending their legs due to the thighs.  Should I trim more off the top to fit me better?  Will this help the thighs and shins fit better?  Thank you!

You can trim the thighs a little to best fit. It's important to make the cut in a manner that you keep the ANH style, this means

that you just not cut the top section only .  Bellow images can illustrate better what I'm trying to say.

The white line shows how you should cut, not a straight line  around .

    Hi Arturo, welcome to FISD.

Bellow thread could help to make the list.

    Good luck!

Once you receive your TK kit you can open a Build Thread HERE or if it's a commissioned build you can post a pre approval thread .

    This INDEX could be useful

Hi all, I got this armor second-hand a while back and am finally getting around to finishing it up.  I just wanted to make sure that I had this right before I did anything else, so I had a few questions.

    1. To connect the shoulder to the bicep, should I just use more elastic fabric and E6000?

    2. The shoulders are slightly different, does it matter which one goes on which side?  Doesn't really seem like there is a pattern.

    3. How far up does the bicep need to go into the shoulder?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jason, welcome to FISD

Looking at the photo (by the way you can use the Direct link option to post the image directly ,no as a link, into the post.), it looks like your armor is a RS prop master one.

    1. To connect the shoulder to the bicep, should I just use more elastic fabric and E6000?

Yes, you can just glue the elastic if you have sized it correctly . You could use some snaps to allow making modifications to the elastic if needed (bellow a diagram and some images)

As a ruler of thumbs, in an accurate armor kit, the one with the the swoop at the bottom like that should be worn on the left/hand shoulder.

    3. How far up does the bicep need to go into the shoulder?

It would depend on how they fit on your arms but it's supposed to let you move your arm to hold your weapon

Hello everyone. Joining the 501st has been a longtime desire for me for a while now. I'm actually going to do it now though, but I'd like to ask for some help...

    • I will likely be a part of the Golden Gate Garrison (they seem the closest to me), and I'm trying to look for their forum.
    • I don't have a lot of space to build my own armor. I also don't have much experience with making my own either. Will need someone vetted to commission I suppose.
      • I'd also like it to be as accurate as possible with all the details.
      • Looking to make an OT TK suit (ep 5 probably my favorite)
    • It looks like I need my suit before officially joining, am I getting that right?

Thanks, I look forward to one day being a part of the community :)
I apologize for the short post, but nevertheless, I intend to fully commit! I'm just intimidated!

    Hey guys!

I've recently had my SE-14r Blaster Pistol approved for use with my TK Commander and have a few queries.

Can I use an SE-14r Holster? If so, is it placed left or right and how is it attached?

Also, if any other Commander is using it, would you be kind enough to post a pic or two to show how it is attached?

Recommendations regarding where to obtain a good quality one would be appreciated.

    Thanks brothers!

Hi Trevor, it's great to know you have  your SE-14!

According to TKC references, there is no holster for that weapon. You could check with your GML to see if you can use one.

I found a holster on Etsy that might work for you.

    E11

Well it has arrived. On advice of @justjoseph63 I’ve ordered the E11 from Quest Design. Very cool piece. Is it ready to go as is? Do I need to modify it more? It’s all black. Like everything. Is that okay? Or do I need to paint the shell ejection cover silver or gray. Also the counter is black. No numbers. And there is no spring in the channel. Is all of that required for Centurion or can I slowly add that stuff as I go. I do plan on modifying my airsoft eventually as it’s cool as. But I’m ready to start the application for centurion right away.

side note: I have really been enjoying trooping. Been on three so far with another this Saturday. So much fun!

Great looking Blaster sir.  I would be great if you can post a photo of the other side. :salute:

I have since attached the thigh ammo pack, and it does help with the gapping.

For higher levels it's important to take care about:

    1- Sniper knee position

2- Thigh Ammo pack position and rivets type

    3- ABS belt position

    4- Ab side rivets position

    5- Han Snap position.

I would strongly recommend before installing, check the reference images into the Gallery section or check it out here with us.

    Hello,

I'm fitting my whole armor now, and am mostly concerned with knee gap.

I have the taller thighs and shins from WTF.

I'm thinking I need to have the shins sit a bit higher.

Would strapping between thigh and shin be appropriate?

    Thanks,

IMO, considering you're part of the tall troopers, and still need to add some parts that reduce the gaps appearance ( the thigh ammo pack  and the belt). You look pretty good sir. I would like to encourage you to consider to go for higher levels  EIB and Centurion as well

bellow and approved Centurion Tall trooper  (Height = 6'4" (193cm)) that can help you to have an idea how you're going on.
