  1. Great question, take a look in the "For Sale" or "Ongoing Sales" sections, maybe someone has a kit available. You can check Trooperbay.com also

That was going to be my next question hahaha. They have a set minus snaps. Also I have been talking with Alay on here. She has what looks like a really nice set on her Etsy.

so i see all the different links to different straps and whatnot. I'm wondering if there is a now full kit now that exists rather than buying a few from different places?

  3. Next question. About to start biceps and I have absolutely no idea what to do/ where exactly they go, how much to trim bla bla bla.

Putting the forearm and bicep makes my arms look tiny and short as heck! Hahaha I swear I’m not that tiny!!

Anyway, as is right now, every edge of the bicep hurts.

Ukswrath, I’m using your build post as I go but I still don’t know where to start here. I’ve searched as well as I could but still no info.

So here’s some photos and questions.

So how high are the biceps supposed to be? How much space between them and forearms?

Next. The top (if I have this placed what I think is correctly) digs into my pit, do I just trim a good amount off the final top edge?
    2ddfc8868d5707bd1dbfac12b10f89cf.jpg

Finally (for now) can I put a slight curve at the bottom for more movement or does it have to be flat?

  4. Ok got the right side forearm sized and cut to size.

I still have to mess with the curve at the inner elbow so I can bend my arms better.

The thing that is driving me crazy is the overall shape of the forearm. Currently it is very oval shaped on both ends coming to a pretty noticeable point at the butt points on the front and back where the cover strips will be. Every image I have seen looks pretty flat there so how do I fix this?

  5. So the key here is to leave roughly 1/2" gap between your arm and the armor. Starting with the sides with a flat section cut to spec leaving roughly 8mm from edge of the plastic to where the return edge crease begins. Afterwards test fit to see if there's more material that needs to be removed from the opposite side/closure of the armor, if any. If so remove it from the inner half of the armor.

Perfect that’s what I figured from your build post. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.

  6. Forearm sizing question:

I have sized both forearms to myself and taped them up. The left requires almost no trimming but the right needs a bit.

I have measured many times to make sure both are exactly the same widths top to bottom and I’m ready to cut.

My question is, (on the right forearm #17 and #19) which do I cut? Do I cut a little off both?

I am thinking to cut 19 since it seems to have way more space to cut than 17 but I just want to make sure before I get to it.

In the first photo 17 is where my index finger is and 19 is my thumb. You can see the overlap between.

  7.
Question 2 - No return edge. A little bit of curve on the outside where the plastic bent around (where it would have met the edge) is okay but there should be NO inside lip/return edge whatsoever.

This answers my question, although still wondering why?
Seems to me no return would make it look cheaper/ not as professional?

  8. Left forearm preassembled and fits perfect.

Luckily I didn’t have to really resize it but this is waaay more a pain in the A then I feel it should have been! Exacto blows for cutting rounded edges, the snip I got are also useless for those! I had to carefully carve them out with the exacto which took forever.

Ended up using a dremel with cutting wheel for the long straight edges (butt edges) and sanding after.

Saw a video where someone placed the forearm on a counter, held a ruler on it with one hand and scored with a utility knife.

I couldn’t even get the forearm to lay flat on a table cause of the return edges!

So one down! On to the next after work.

Now, I know it says no return at the wrist for higher level. Absolutely no return? I feel it will look cheap if it’s literally just the edge of the thin ABS. I took about half the width off so far. Is that enough?

  9. I used tin snips for trimming. Where exactly are the rounded edges you speak of? I usually just used tin snips or razor blade. If the cut wasn't ideal I usually sanded it smooth.

“Rounded” like to take the return edge off the wrists and whatnot. I know I’ll do a good amount of sanding anyway, but I always look for the most efficient ways of doing things. Very OCD they way.
I’ll look into tin snips. I have a few but those are huge and totally wont do.

  10. Want to start sizing and as I get the forearm (right) on I realize how huge these are compared to my arms. I don’t have tiny arms but this makes me look miniature!

So, I know I obviously will need to trim maybe an inch or so to get it smaller. But looking at them together as is, they are already a little oval shaped. So in my head, trimming them will make them even more oval shaped.

So I’m thinking a few things in prepping.

I’m either going to have to cut them and then add more plastic to round them out, OR cut them and then very carefully heat them and bend them to shape. So the overall end product is cylindrical.

    Thoughts? Advise?

Here is the folding stock (outlined in red):

This particular one is of the "functioning" type, but the ones that are molded in (Hyperfirm/Praetorian) as Tony mentioned are completely fine all the way to level 3.

looking at Praetorian's FB, there are three models of the E11. Is one better than / preferred over the others? Do people prefer the rubber ones over ones with electronics? Don't care about price, just want the best I can get. If I'm going to do it, I like to do it right the first time.

ohhhhhhhh thats what that is. ha wow! im an idiot. never put that together but can totally see how it would work now that I know what that is.

on the 501st CRL for level 2 (other troopers have level 3?) it says to have a folding stock but then says stock doesn't need to function?....??

1: every photo I have ever seen, I swear there isn't a stock. Am I a crazy person?

2: So they want it foldable or not? Foldable to me means that it functions...

"correct style scope" ummmm..... so? hahahaha

I am sure praetorian will know whats up. just thought that was confusing.

so much info everywhere!! my head is going to explode!! :)

  14. Just because I am very OCD and like to make shopping lists, can anyone give me some info on where I can get an E11 Blaster level 2 ready? Same for DLT-19 Heavy Blaster?

I also saw on the SPec ops site (for specialist) I need rubber chemical gloves? where to find those?

i saw a few older comments about Hyperfirm but then read another thing saying they became bad at returningno longer make them and got bad at replying to people?
