  1. Ok, I'll try to do that .. I'll ask him to answer here though for everyone to see the response! Cheers
  2. Hey guys, I got Stomper's Hovi's and SuperTrooper's speakers. Now, I saw that picture of them together, but it actually doesn't reveal much. I though I'd ask if anyone would have assembled pictures of these 2 things. What I'm specifically looking for is: Pic of the soldering on the speaker Pic of the Hovi's back (I thought at first I had to completely drill out the screw, but now, I'm thinking of just drilling a hole for the wire to come through the back of the Hovi) Anyway, if I missed anything, let me know, Or if you want to explain in detail how to do that, I never actually soldered anything before, and I'm not too sure how I'll achieve that one .. I can't wait to put back those Hovi's on my bucket! It's been sitting there for too long now! Cheers, Al
  3. Curtis, I got the AP armor, and there was 13 coming with the kit but I could only fit 11 or 12. After looking at the reference pictures, I decided I could go with 12 (they get closer to the ear but it's more commun than 11. My 0.02$
  4. Isn't that the problem? I also bought all my stuff 6 months ago *sigh* .. I have 3 9v for 2 fans .. and they seem to push a lot of air .. still not sure either where to install them, or how for that matters. I know the pading-to-remove-all-vibration trick .. just didn't dare to do it yet .. 12V fans x 2 = 24V 9V batt x 3 = 27V Should be good enough, in your case, you're under powered Although I could be wrong, I'm no physic/electrician guru!
  5. Hello! I now can't edit my album anymore .. any of you guys have any idea of what's wrong? Here's the message I get when I try: No access permissions Sorry, the board administrator has not enabled your permissions for this part of the control panel. Also, I just noticed that I can't answer some comments I got in my album .. it pops me back to the main index page without any explanation and without adding the comment, of course! Thanks guys, Al
  6. You think it's possible to post a pic of this thing you've used. A pic of the package or anything useful to go out and find in stores around? I have the AP bucket. I've try the hard hat liner without any success (my head wouldn't fit with the things inside as I couldn't enter sideway anymore. Now, I have a bunch of black foam from shipping boxes that I collected that I may try trimming to the perfect fit. But this things looks really nice. Perhaps it's also available here?
  7. Guys, I still don't have my under suit, well .. I have one, but it's my snowboard underwear and I'd never go in the sun with it!! So I plan on finding a lycra 2 pieces .. and I thought I'd buy something from Ebay .. since they have some pretty good prices on stock that we get in store for 2 to 5 times the price! Any thoughts if that's a good idea, and if it is, any seller or product you could recommend to buy in there?
  8. I'm 6'3" myself with an AP kit and you can also see some black there for me. Seriously, considering the odds of the AP fitting on me, I consider it the last of my worries Forgive my missings .. no glove, boots (I cropped my naked feet I know, I still haven't completed my suit, no glove, no boots and no knee pads (still didn't figure how to rivet it since it doesn't fit at all!)
  9. Yeah .. I also prefer to look at it that way .. it removes a lot of violence from the movie! LOL My mother would be so proud! Hahaha
  10. I also just received that book 2 days ago .. can't wait to go through it .. I don't even wanna look at the picture now and spoil the fun, I'm just gonna go and read the text at the same time .. it's amazing everything we learn in there ... I don't know if I'm the only one there, but did you guys notice the hair ball on these guys? Damn, it must have been pretty hot in there .. and I bet they didn't think about the fan system! LOL
  11. That's actually a really cool idea that I already thought about some weeks ago while begining to think about the inside of m AP helmet. I have the Riddell's Fett, Vader and 3PO, my friend has the stormy and I'll probably borrow it from him .. and take a LOT of picture of it. I'll share them here if you want, I think it could be pretty interesting ... From there, the problem is it's pretty tough to recreate this inside with the different boxes etc ... how were you planing to do this? Or with what material? Cheers, Al
  12. I find it funny that each time we talk about the differences in armor, it gets .. hum .. edited! Anyway, I'd really like to know if there's anywhere we can see a side by side comparison of the Gino VS TE VS AP? Also, I think it's really, really cool that we end up here with GINO and TE on the boards providing us there information. I kinda wonder if in 10 years from now, future TK will say: "Imagine, 10 years ago, you could actually get these guys to exchange the information live in the forum .. ah, that was the time" ) Just thought I'd share .. Cheers
  13. I can confirm this as being true for my sept 07 acquired AP suit. And last time I talked to AP, it wasn't going to change either
  14. Just tried to do that again .. and it still fails: "Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available." Sorry about that
  15. Well .. like everybody, I just loved the Stormtroopers. Few years ago, I stumbled on an armor, and thought this thing was going for a couple 1000$ and was impossible to find. Last Halloween, I had the brillant idea to check whether it was possible to get one of these on the internet .. after a few months of research, I found AP which is 25 minutes from my place. Went to meet the guy at his place, and he had armors, a vader and a sxxt load of replicas .. bought a kit right away, had it 2 weeks later and have been working on it, on the guns and acquiring Sabers since then .. I never subscribed to the 501st(.ca), I'm sure I miss a lot .. first thing I'm doing when my kit is completed, is go to a Toys r Us to hang out there for the fun .. can't wait to see the kids face from all your cool stories. I wish I had good friends with the same passion AND cash to buy a suit ... Can't wait for the next Halloween ... oh yeah! can't wait!

  17. Hello admins! I tried removing some pictures from my Album, but I seem to not have the rights to do so .. Here's a link to the picture I tried to delete: http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?aut...=si&img=155 I guess it would be the same for any pics anyway ... Also got a weird error message while trying to attach a picture to a post here: http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1308 Error being: "Error Upload failed. Please ask the administrator to ensure the uploads directory is available"
  18. I also have an AP and this lookds exactly like my kit. Here's a pic of the kit when it came in, see the similarities?!? ------ Looks darn close to me! PS Sorry for the link, for a weird reason, I couldn't attach a file here .. admin? "Error Upload failed. Please ask the administrator to ensure the uploads directory is available"
  19. Hey Curtis! I'm also owning an AP armor but didn't ever figure out how to attach properly the knee pad to the leg .. could you post more detailed photos of the knee without the tape .. and the views from all directions? That would really help me. I've had my suit built since last november but didn't have the courage to fix my knee yet Thanks man! Al
  20. Got my Cabbots (size 12) should have gotten a size 11 as they are a little oversized. Never got any smell in mine Guess I was lucky for once!!
  21. Hey there! I'm 6'3'', got an AP armor and it seems most people think it fits me pretty well .. you can look into my gallery for more pics of my suit details and the suit on me. I think it fits me well mostly because I'm more or less 190lbs .. yes I'm tall .. but like you said, it's a lot more about the build then the height. Although, it seems like the RT is made for a little bigger build, I still love my suit and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world ----------- My 0.02$
