Tried a trial fit with the scope, rail and counter tonight. I’m happy with it so I’ll try get some paint together this weekend and get it finished....I have armour to build! quick one...when painting the counter...how much of it is brass?

Thanks Jesse...although I can’t take credit for them myself. Dan did them first and kindly sent the file so I could print them off. Looking forward to getting it together and finished.

Quick update. New scope rail arrived from Tino, scope finished with screws added to the front and Counter numbers added. I think I’m finally almost ready to start chucking it all together

Ahh....I’ve done mine differently then. I held the large lens fairly close to my eye then measured the distance between the end of the cone to where the crosshairs lens was focused. I suppose it means with mine u have to get right down on the scope to see it. I’ll check it again when the paint is dry before I commit...thanks Tino

Scope hollowed out! Got a bit too close to the bottom wall with the spade bit so will need to sort it with green stuff when it arrives. Also dig a hole out of the top to drop the cross hair lens in. Just need to paint the inside now then all being well I can put it all back together

Also, if the image in my scope is flipped at least I’ll have an excuse for not being able to hit anything like any other Stormtrooper

Thanks for the replies guys! When I chopped the monocular down one of the smaller lenses dropped out anyway but I decided to keep the other in the housing for ease of fitment. I’m not planning on using any of the prisms...way too complicated for me! I suppose at the end of the day, if I get a view/light thru the scope it won’t be too bad a result?

Quick question for the scope gurus out there...how do I get the image thru the scope the right way up? I have the the two lenses fitted but when I look thru them both together the image is upside down. Anyone know how to rectify this please?

Thanks Tom! Quite pleased with it so far...hope the rest of it goes smoothly! Now that my armour has arrived I’ve got a new found fervour to get the blaster finished and get on with it! Did u have a look at my power cylinders? Do they look ok?

Made a start on the scope this afternoon. Managed to fit both front and rear lenses but my drill died before I could hollow out the main body...typical! . Will see if I can get it finished tomorrow.

So, bit more progress today. Power cylinders done, flash guard, ejection port guard and sights fitted. Also chopped up the scope ready to hollow out...just need to pick some spade bits up today so I can get that sorted this weekend hopefully. Should then only have the Hengstler to finish before I start chucking some paint at it
