    Mayo's ANH Stunt (AP) build

Brendan...do you work? Lol. Where do you find the time to do all the building?! Nice idea on your elastic and ABS on your COD piece. Overkill? Nahhh! You’re just protecting your expensive armor. I still have yet to reinforce the sides and neck of my chest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, the AP kit has identical arms- both have the dimple in the biceps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No, a “built from scratch” blaster is not a requirement of Centurion level. However, a screen accurate blaster IS required. There are various prop makers who sell them, though some have gone out of business lately. I happened to get a Hyperfirm blaster before they went off the map. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed. Brendan- If you are set on using snaps and not using brackets, then there really isn’t a need for you to keep that extra material. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lorelei's 5'4" ATA ANH-S Centurion-Hopeful Build

As you know, NOTHING is deleted from the internet once something’s out there....best accept the fact that nobody’s perfect (here’s where Frank would chime in to be funny and say, “Speak for yourself, Matt.”). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AP Armour - Trimmed - ANH Centurion - First Build Thread

One thing I noticed was the snaps under the posterior are visible from the rear and should be more hidden underneath: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first build!! ANOVOS ANH stunt TK

In my opinion, you don’t really want to take from the bottom of the wrist as you’ll get close to a notch in the forearm. You’ll really only want to take the return edges out completely from the wrist side and leave it at that. But, you have more room to work with at the top of the forearms, so you should trim from there and just move your wrist side of the forearm up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used tweezers to pull at the excess glue and just pulled it with my fingers. As for doing legs after the torso, that can work just fine. A lot of people work from the top down (helmet down to the shins). Strongly suggest you have someone help with your thighs though. I did my own, but it was a major pain and made me stop working on the kit for 5 months. Your armor is looking good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newbie Dave's Anovos build

So, the sniper knee is by in large one of the biggest pains in the a$$ with a TK build for most people. It doesn’t really line up as most kits make the plate a little small for the shin. So, most sniper plates happen to sit off-centered for most people, but with no gaps. You’re correct in that there really isn’t anything on the CRL about a “sniper plate gap”, but I personally would rather the plate sitting flush to the shin for support than raised out with a gap. 20. You’re welcome and understood. It is rare that any of the guys above will steer you wrong. And if any of them do, it will never be something that would make your armor “worse” or “incorrect”. Worst case scenario is that you’re given advice to make your costume one step closer to Centurion. The jump from EIB to Centurion isn’t that much more, FYI. Lastly, when in doubt, always refer back to the trusty CRL: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. When you say, “who are you supposed to be listening to,”- really that is up to you. Everyone on here is offering you advice to improve your armor. Some may notice one thing, while others may notice something else. People who have been commenting on your application are either extended staff, Command Staff, or just veterans that know their armor builds inside and out. Basically, the majority of the people who have chimed in here on your thread are all Centurion level, have multiple costumes, and have been around for quite some time. Take what you want from the advice offered. As for who “approves” your EIB status- that would be CableGuy, JustJoseph, and UKSWRATH. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AM - ANH TK Hero Build

How does it feel when you flex your bicep to bend your arm? If it feels tight at all, you have a little more return edge you can take off on both if need be. These return edges may hurt you a little when you bend your arms. Keep up the good work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. Corey- nice set of armor. A couple things I’m noticing you may want to address. You seem to have rather large gaps at your elbows. I’m thinking you may want to pull the biceps down a bit. Also, it seems you have some extra room at the top of your forearms. Can you taper them a little more? It seems your ears- more so the right, has quite a bit of return edge that should come off- this ear is too thick. Lastly, a quick fix, your vocoder stripes that I’m pointing to with the red arrows should be in line with each other, somewhere right around the horizontal red line. You can use a toothpick on the left to bring it down a little, and add a dab of paint on the right to bring the other one up to the red line. Good luck with your application!
