  1. Asa Pittman 83042 Letter Andrew Thanks! http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/83042-centurion.png
  2. Looking good! Only thing I noticed was for your S-trim, they will need a pic of one of the ends showing that it's actually "S" shaped.
  3. Thanks! For the tracks I used a Rustoleum brand undercoating. And I forget the exact epoxy brand. Just found one that was for plastic. E6000 could have worked too if I had some at the time.
  4. This was my first event after getting my approval and TK ID. Was a lot of fun seeing all the reactions from kids both old and young. There was definitely a smile behind the frown the whole time. It rained on us a bit but the otherwise cool breezes made it quite comfortable inside all the armor. As featured by the Japanese Garrison page: The 501st Japanese Garrison was invited to serve as costumed support for the 18th Kadena Special Olympics. The Special Olympics is a worldwide organization that hosts annual sports events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. http://www.son.or.jp/ Nearly 1,000 athletes and a couple thousand volunteers attended the event. Vader’s Legion started the day greeting the busses, cheering for the athletes as they arrived. We were joined by many other costumed favorites including several Disney Princes, knights, Superman, and even Spider-Man. Many of the athletes were thrilled to see us when they arrived! After the opening ceremony we wandered around to different events, stopping to take many photos with guests, cheered the athletes on as they competed, and presented medals to the winners. It was a good day to serve the Empire! #BadGuysDoingGood TK6446, TK10365, SL31444, TK51040, TK83042, Adam Martinez as Biker Scout, Jason Wilson as AT-ST, Brandon Kirkham(TD7363 : retired) as Sand Trooper 5. Thanks for making this. Hopefully more post and share their past and present service. I'd also like to add that being able to come to Japan, and be able to visit such a place like Hacksaw is very humbling. Hacksaw Ridge
  6. Being able to submit this request has been my goal since before I even received my armor. Even after making EI and making the changes suggested, I still find myself nervous. lol I adjusted the elastic to correct the shoulders and bring in the gap between the bicep and forearm pieces. I also trimmed the areas mentioned to remove the excess return edges and could already feel the difference while taking new pictures. Time to put my time and effort to the test. 8. Awesome news to see before another long work day! Thank you! I've already been trying to adjust the strapping in the arms to fix the gaps and added some padding in the forearms to keep them in place. I'll work on trimming the return edges this weekend and put in my application.
  9. Wow, great job with those stripes. I used a stencil from trooper bay and even hit it first with white, having seen the suggestion here before. I still got a lot of bleed spots and uneven edges that I had to go back and touch up by hand. So I'm a little jealous. lol
  10. Yes, E6000 made them easy enough to remove. Measured out the distance on the shorter sides and cut from the longer to match and gave the edges a quick sand and glued them back into place.

  12. Thanks everyone! Okinawa is currently getting hit with a Typhoon so perfect time to finish up getting my pics in armor to submit for EI. I tried to make sure all the details were there and correct for Centurion so I guess it will be a moment of truth.
  13. Was a great feeling to get my approval and TK ID emails. Was a pretty long 3 weeks as I waited but getting my armor ready for the next levels kept me busy. Can't wait to troop next weekend officially.
  14. Thanks! I've been working on fine tuning it the best I can. Completely removed the Mr.Nostripes brackets since my armor just seems too thin, despite adding the support strips. Came back after the event to find two places where it was cracked. The original spot on the chest was starting to re-crack, and on the posterior section it was much worse. I fixed the cracks and filled all the holes. Made new elastic straps to hold everything together as well as a shorter strap for each shoulder. Now that my application has been approved I can start getting everything ready take on the EI and Centurion challenge.
  15. I'd say my first troop was pretty successful, if not one of the toughest to start with. 80-90 degree weather and stuck in a building with no AC. The call was made after about two hours to switch to out of costume and man the table to talk to people about the 501st. R2-D2 didn't mind the heat, same for our Sandtrooper..go figure.

  17. Finally able to wear it again, and just in time for Comic Con! I may move the shoulder bells up higher after the con if they are still considered too low as well as any other fixes or corrections you all can see. Still waiting for my approval to go through so I still have time yet before I try to tackle EI and Centurion
  18. Congrats! Great looking armor. I'm using this and a few other builds while I work on my own, hoping to reach this level myself soon, but I'm currently. still waiting for my 501st approval to go through.
  19. Installed beef up plates for my Mr.Nostripes bracket set. Had an incident yesterday where the middle chest return edge cracked and a section broke off completely under the elastic tension alone After freaking out, I cut a new piece n the same shape. Installed a backing plate then superglued the new piece. Let it dry then spread some ABS paste over the area and sanded it all down. So that's why I decided to install them on every mounting point. Will give the glue a day to cure completely before even thinking of installing them together. This process took the entire original trilogy before I was done. I also cleaned out the old glue from the sniper knee, as well as a piece of foam that had been glued behind the plate. I was going to wait until tomorrow to work on the new belt that I had ordered, but decided to go ahead and begin the process. It's really hard to find a stopping point sometimes. lol I managed to get it centered and after the snaps were installed, its a pretty tight fit, with no sagging in the front. Same can't be said for the previous belt. The snaps are in the middle of the belt and when holding the ammo boxes across, it seems to line up much better for that centurion requirement. Locally sourcing some supplies. Drop boxes installed and fitted to belt with new elastic. Belt: Done Was able to buy new button plate from ATA, in the meantime I re-painted the old plate. May or may not keep this one for a while despite the many scratches, only seen up close and in the right light. Also found that a toothpick works great for painting these. Split rivets installed and connected
  20. Got several much needed packages today, including the E6000 and my order from trooperbay with armor white, novus 2, and a new lens. While waiting for the glue to set for the inner strips on the thighs, I started working on the helmet. I've put a lot of work into cleaning out the old gunk of residual glue and foam that was still stuck to the plastic, as well as random dirt and general filth. Pretty straightforward install and now sits tighter than the old lens, removing the gap it use to have.
  21. Thanks! I may re-do the ABS paste for the old rivet holes. I've already filled them twice and when I sand them down there are small air pockets. I also feel like I'll have to paint over those areas despite me not wanting to have paint on an otherwise smooth bare plastic surface.
